US Net Neutrality: Some Good News (For Once)

As everyone knows by now, 90% of Americans are fighting for US net neutrality. However, I’ve been seeing too much negative news on this topic. And thus, I said “that’s enough bad news on Tumblr, and why not some good news on this topic for once?” And thus, I made this post. So here’s some Good News:

1. Washington State And Oregon

In a span of three weeks so far, Washington State and Oregon have enacted their own Net Neutrality Protections into law. Massachusetts and Illinois have also decided to join the band wagon, and have proposed their own Net Neutrality Bills as well. 

2. A City Called South Bend

Whilst focusing on the topic of Net Neutrality Protections into law, there’s a City in Indiana called South Bend, that’s enacted an Open Internet Pledge. The pledge commits mayors to taking steps within the law to prevent gatekeepers from “throttling, blocking, or limiting government content on the internet.” This is a step in the right direction for Local Broadband Networks.

3. Illinois Net Neutrality Proposal

Now for some recently announced Good News for Illinois Residents. The Illinois House Panel has just given the “all clear” signal to their Net Neutrality Proposal. The Proposal will now move down to The House Floor for finalising. 

And so, that’s all the recent News on Net Neutrality for the Americans. Before I conclude this post, there’s one more detail everyone needs to know about. Even after April 23rd, there will still be such thing as The Internet. The thing that is to be remembered is that even after April The 23rd, the fight will still go on. It doesn’t end just like that, for the F.C.C will still have to face the many lawsuits in The D.C Circuit, and the opposition that is the C.C.I.A.

This message is directed at the Americans who are fighting for US Net Neutrality.

The RNC sent me a notice of official census material that was actually a fundraiser for the republican candidates running in the midterms. The paperwork was presented as being an official document required to be filled out by law, but it was patently false. This is corruption. This is meant to deceive people into giving data and money to a political party under the guise of nonpartisan census data. This undermines trust in the census, local government, and the democratic process. This is beyond disgusting, and I’m mailing back the form to tell the RNC how I really feel about their bullshit.

OKAY so here’s what i have so far for my TMNT AU in terms of character design/color 

I wanted to try and give them face markings resembling Kabuki performer face paint.  

They’re based on the Ryukyu Black-Breasted Leaf Turtle.  their subject names were given back when they were used as lab experiments before splinter saved them.

Im unsure whether i wanna go more simplified with shapes like i usually do or to keep em’ in this style.  I feel like i can do More, but for what these are now, im in the right direction i think. c:
