Okay, so I know this is a long shot, BUT… Calling all Drinny shippers! I’m looking for a fic from awhile back.
It came in multiple parts (four?), which were published sometime between 2001 and 2005.
It began at Hogwarts and moved through and beyond the war.
At Hogwarts, Draco/Ginny get close to one another, and may or may not start falling for each other.
At some point, (I think) Ginny is kidnapped by Death Eaters. She’s brought to Malfoy Manor, where Draco makes sure she is kept safe, and they fall in love.
In the final chapter, Ginny is back at the Burrow and she opens up the Daily Prophet and sees that Draco’s trial has happened. It left on a cliffhanger, I’m pretty sure, so we never found out if he was convicted for being on Voldemort’s side during the war.
After said cliffhanger, the author never finished the story–at least not in the year or so following its upload (when I was consistently checking for it).
It was uploaded on a website owned by the author, where he/she uploaded other fan art, and it had a different fic about Snape’s origin story and why he was so mean (this was before Snape’s past w/Lily was made canon). I think there was a picture of a rose that went with this story, like a cover or thumbnail image of sorts. The website has a black background.
I know this isn’t a lot to go on and probably describes a TON of Drinny fics from that time period, but if anyone remembers the name of the fic (or the web address for where it was posted), I will be forever in your debt! Even if it’s just a cached version of the site, I’d love to find it again. :)
