Draco Vs Decoy turned 1 today! or at least the blog. it makes me so happy to have been on this project for so long, and to finally finish it is a huge step in a new direction for me! AAAA! if you want the link for the film, go ahead and ask me!
YOUR FILM IS AMAZINGG!!!! What was your favorite part of sculpting and texturing your characters in Draco vs. Decoy? The whole time I watched it, the colors and shapes were so iconic, so I thought I'd ask! 😁
Easily Rigging the dragon! I had fun with most steps along the way, but figuring out how bones work, and how to apply them to the characters for the motions I needed was probably the highlight! Thank you so much! I'm SO glad you enjoyed it!
MY MOVIE IS SO DONE
After a year+ of hard work, overcoming personal hardships, and moving on, I am proud to say my movie is here! I'll throw up some more behind the scenes stuff in time but! I'm so unbelivably excited to show this off. HOORAY!

Sneak peek, this is one of the nicer shots I've got under my belt so far. progress is upping in speed, and my energy is low. but not too low! almost there!
Finally getting some scenes rendered! Absolute pandemonium figuring out how this works, but here we are!
A lot has changed since last I posted, But here we are! finally blocking out shots and testing renders! With some background polishing by a good friend who wishes to remain anonymous, at long last I've got a look at how the scenes will play out!
After a short break I'm back! A lot has changed and pretty busy as of recent, but come winter break in a few days I should be a lot more active. I have a set schedule to work 9-11 every day, plus some additional work on the side. I'm very thrilled!
As for progress, I am victim to finals, however I did get a few things done! Texturework, unwrapping, yadda yadda. I did finally get to coloring in the teeth on my dragon, so yay!

Sorry for the wait! Been a rough couple of weeks but we are so back! lately I've been focusing on prop production, and it's been going ok! everything you see here is unwrapped and ready to get textured!
finishing environment assets has really helped me get out of rig block, my goal is to have all of my assets ready to animate by the end of winter break!
ALSO! here's my catfishing poster!
UAGRG the timining is so off, anyways have a taste of my wraith!!!!! Outside of some weights, Susie's rig is practically finished! Now all that's left are my princess and my castle! Speaking of...

Howdy ho! Been a bit since my last post, and it's finally rigtime! I'm so close to finishing the primary controls on good ol Sylvia here, all that's left is some expressions, some set driven keys, cluster groups, and other various details. I'll just leave you with this little snippet for now, but it's the haps! Expect a full rundown of her when she's finished :]

Rigging! I don't have a ton to show for this blog post visually as much of my work has been under the hood. Lots of weight painting and, though I should have textured her first, its been extremely fun to make this princess feel right. And frustrating! Though her process is really helping me understand the pipeline.
Additionally, Weighting the dragon is SO MESSY my god she has so many moving parts. Her big ol legs are done though! Her face will easily be the most complex element of the animal to create.

A load of art this time! Lots of character development and a start on environments! I only need one, but its pretty huge. This pic shows a sneak peek of a few of the high poly sculpted details. This is my stump. Look at my stump.
Additionally, some character art! Blocking out the mech and sculpting the high poly render of my princess. Coming along solidly! Realistically, I should focus most of my energy on one asset at a time. Whoops!

Coming in hot! Susie's rig is coming along, as are her textures! I'm literally so tired but here she is! Hopefully, along with Sylvia, she'll be getting some controls on her soon.
Texturing was such a slop with her, as I had to do each plate of armor on a separate UV to avoid a bake issue. BLEUGH!
On to my princess next! if anyone has any names in mind let me know!

WOOOOO Progress! My goal of starting on the 3D sculpt of my knight (their name is Susie :3) is complete! Not so much to post here outside of that, but I'm bent on breaking my big posts up into itty bitty posts to gain traction. Yayyyy! also some weighting on the dragon (her name is Sylvia after the wonderful zbornak of the same name from Wander Over Yonder (RIP). Coming along!
