Coord for a friend's birthday get together! We went to a very interesting museum, the architecture was unusual for the area. I definitely want to go back and read more about the history of this museum.
I'd rather be in outer space 🛸

Gosu Rori Volume 10 Heart Motif Jacket and Skirt Tutorial (Link)
The Peaking Bloomer
I have been noticing recently some coordinates that incorporates intentionally showing off bloomers, such as wearing ones longer than the skirt they are wearing. This is not a new trend by any means, as there are several street snaps with this idea present. However, I have also noticed that while typically this is done with longer skirts and more old school looking dresses, there is also…
I ♥️ vampires !! Ignore the fact this is a skirt themed on killing them. I kill them with love!! 🫶
We got to visit Graceland Cemetery when we went to Chicago in March!
Properly coordinating my most recent alteration, this merry making in the ghost town skirt!
Older G&LBs seemed to have a lot more decor and room oriented features! This is from G&LB 5 and it features a big awesome mirror cross, a bat shaped rug which is merely a bat shape cut from faux fur, an artfully draped bookshelf, and a completely bizarre light on a stick.
These tutorials are so inspiring I actually started decorating my room this way lol

Mrs Halloween apple's strange banquet (this dress name) was the first brand dress I altered to fit me. I bought it new in 2018, and cut it up to add a new bustle and shirring panel.
As first tries often are, it wasn't really up to the standard I was thinking. I barely wore it, and a two or so years later I fixed it. I wore it a few more times, and realised that it really wasn't very fixed. So I fixed it again! This is the third version you're seeing in this picture. It's serviceable, and no one has ever dared to tell me it looks bad (it's the back that's bad, you can't see my shame in this picture), but I cringe everytime I see what I had done to this beautiful jsk.
My next big project will be re-visiting this item and doing it justice I think.
In 2017 I bought Alice and the pirates' "merry making in the ghost town" jsk. I bought it on a whim without checking measurements, and despite being the thinnest I have ever been at the time, I could not zip it up. I wore it once (with a cardigan hiding the open back) before selling it.
I knew I could alter it, but I did not have the sewing skills at the time.
A few months ago, I decided I really needed it again. I started shopping around, but it was slim pickings. I didn't want to settle for a colour I didn't prefer when the prices of second hand aatp are so high right now.
The skirt version in my preferred colour showed up on closet child and I jumped on the opportunity. It was perfect! Not a cheap price, but cheaper than the jsks I was looking at.
I gathered materials to alter this skirt while I finished the project I had been working on when the skirt arrived. And then I got started!
I took the skirt apart stitch by stitch, removed the original shirring panel, splitting it in two, to fill and extend the side seams. I made a new shirring panel from matching (solid colour) fabric. I also made a side bustle, mimicking the design of the jsk I previously had. This bustle added volume to the skirt, which naturally has to be increased when the size is increased.
When sewing everything back together, I added a pocket into the zipper seam as a cherry on top, and it was done!
I'm so happy with how this came out. I'm glad I waited for my skills to improve before revisiting this project, and I can't wait to apply these skills to other items in future!
Trying to pack in as much meta into one coord as I can... Ignoring the fact I didn't want to wear the matching otk 🫣
You'll never believe it! It's coord time again
Finished sewing my geometric print Gothic Lolita bodice and skirt set! It was tricky but satisfying to line up the pleats with the skirt waistband and the bodice with the straps~
This is amazing!
