Some TOA Cookies I'd love to see in Ovensmash
I think there's a strong chance the next Guardian is Aquaberry Cookie
That's because of this extra scene below when replaying The Burnt Witch's Oven Chapter. Usually, when the Gaurdian Cookies are given dialogue but are off-screen, their text is highlighted a color that matches their element (blue for water, in this case)
Plus, the only Guardian that we know has a Temple is Aquaberry thanks to Iris and Dew's Cookie story.
Compared to the others, Aquaberry's been built up the most so far. We had Iris Cookie appear in Chapter 1. Then there's Iris and Dew's Cookie Story ending with Iris falling into a Rift and Dew rejoining the Temple to maybe find a way to find Iris.
There's also the implication that Cream Soda saw Aquaberry's Guardian Star (Explained in the very first post I made here)
Plus, Iris Cookie tells the crew she plans to use a Rift to try and get back to Aquaberry's floor as soon as possible
Now, I could be wrong and it ends up being another Guardian. But they've been building up Aquaberry's floor a lot since Chapter 1. So I'd be a bit surprised if Aquaberry wasn't the next Guardian we'll meet.
We'll know sooner or later, but I'm definitely thinking the next one's Aquaberry Cookie!
This after people were complaining about her person and people complaining about those people is hilarious
Phoenix Pepper be smokin’ even in her reference sheet
I know it's an April Fools joke, but imagine if this is a sign that they're thinking of putting Sundae Cookie in Ovenbreak at some point
Especially since the other three Cookies you can use in this mode are already OB Cookies (Gingerbrave, Angel, Ninja)
Maybe not this year, but it would be pretty cool!
Probably with Banana Roti being the second Cookie, since she works with Sundae at Sugarland
I bet the Dark Cacao Kingdom is just so over it at this point, they just had a war and now have to fight demons already…
Glad to see TOA April Fools is just as chaotic as last time 😅
I love this hammer gremlin
To anyone who got on her for her design looking “weak” to apologize RIGHT NOW-
If Wind Asparagus Cookie is the hopeless romantic, then Phoenix Pepper is the hopeful romantic. She knows things will take a while to grow and develop, these things take time. She is more than willing to do the whole courtship ritual. /j
I will not forget that one comment that someone made that Phoenix Pepper would do a whole bird ritual and this popped into my mind.
PROJECT CC COOKIES AND PHOENIX PEPPER COOKIE, YEAAA
TETO COOKIE
TETO COOKIE
Mmm, eh. Episode 15 was…..okay! Nothing spectacular in certain areas, but passable. Like a…7/10?
The animations and cinematics sprinkled throughout continued to be cool.
The Dark Enchantress and White Lily showdown was pretty fascinating as they duel with each other’s viewpoints.
The AVATAR coming in clutch for what is essentially a triple Lily fight? Peam.
No matter how your feelings are with the writing, you can’t help but feel a little emotional about the credits and ending.
Shadow Milk Cookie just being a total menace lol
Godspeed, Silent Salt Cookie.
Timekeeper.
Sugar Swan.
However…
I do feel like the Beasts could’ve benefited from getting their own moment too like what Silent Salt had, give us an insight on how they’re feeling as well!
Sugar Swan Cookie could use a bit more foreshadowing before she came onto the scene, her surprise appearance is either hyped or forced depending on who you ask.
Like with the Beasts, some Cookies could use some moments to see how they’re doing like Pomegranate or Dark Choco Cookie.
Some more time could be given to the DE vs WL fight and the Ultimate Cookie, as the format of how they handle the story makes these conflicts feel like they go by a little too fast for some.
Shadow Milk 2 Electric Boogaloo. Love it or hate it, it’s up to you.
White Lily. Again, this comes down to personal opinion on whether you think it was necessary or not. It was passable enough for me, but I can see the flaws that people point out in it.
Overall, I’m satisfied. But I have a LOT of writing to do with the new material.
My thoughts on the Update
I'll be the one to say it.
This update was what we needed.
Yes, it was overwhelming and underwhelming, but it's what we needed. It is something we needed to conclude and discover the next step.
Spoilers below
I had genuinely no idea the fandom was so full of young people but this update has proven it to me by the simple fact of how they have been reacting to a very normal story progression that was being set up since the start.
Everyone knew WL was going to die, it's just a fact of the story itself. Even back in the old Crispia episodes, she was already being set up as a highly self sacrificial character and having DE exist at all meant the one possible solution was for both to die. It was always like this.
WL has always been associated with death, even more than DE. One of her skins is about mourning; her beast counterpart is, essentially, a reference to the headless horseman (which is associated with death); she has always been treated like a walking corpse that shouldn't be alive by the other cookies (to the point pure vanilla's care for her is seen as straining in his relationship to the other ancients); she goes through an entire chunk of the story surrounded by ghosts and their caretaker and finds the answers she seeks there.
WL was always going to die in the end, she was always going to sacrifice herself for others. It's a facet of her very being, it's what turned her into DE, it's what started this story to begin with.
finally saw the baddie sugar swan for myself...what the fuck do you mean the huge gem thingy was never attached to her sleeves and dress but was being HELD IN HER HAND this whole time...
It was all a bait.
