Could you perhaps do a Biology Post on Flower-Based Cookies? I find Cookies/adjacents like Cherry Blossom, Lilac, Lotus Dragon, & White Lily to be particularly interesting and I wanna see your takes :>
Of course!
Cookie Biology 101: Flowers
Flower cookies are cookies who were baked with a high amount of flowers in their dough. They are in the plant category of biology. There is such a wide variety of flowers, and I obviously won't be going through each individual one, but the good thing about flowers is that, unlike fruit, most of them have similar textures and all. Though, it would still be worthwhile to go through some, as a Venus fly trap Cookie would have some biological differences to a lily cookie.
Anyways!
Flower Cookies often have a soft, delicate texture to them, with their dough feeling a lot more fragile and dainty than other cookies. However, flowers can be very resilient plants, and you shouldn't underestimate these cookies just because of their ingredients. Most flower cookies' hair is made up of the petals of the flower, but can sometimes contain the pollen or stem of the plant if the whole flower was used to bake them.
Thse cookies are accompanied by the scent of their flowers that can be overwhelming to other cookies if they aren't used to it (such as with White Lily Cookie and Lilac Cookie).
Flowers can be multiple colors, and even cookies baked with the same kind of flower might have different dough and icing colors (example: Silverbell Cookie and Lilybell Cookie).
