All three cat cakes froze at the reprimand, shared furtive glances between themselves, then simultaneously turned around to stare at Aventurine. Even their tiny paws pointed at their designated culprit. They loudly meowed in concert, as if shouting ‘him!’.

“Hey, don’t try to drag me into this!” The gambler protested. “And don’t play with that, you’ll hurt yourselves.”

He leaned down and took the reluctant critters into his arms, ignoring their outraged cries as they uselessly wiggled to escape his grip. They kept stretching their small legs toward the fragmented bust, upset to be denied access to their newly acquired treasure. Aventurine huffed at their antics, although he barely could resist their pleading faces.

Super weird shuake comic without Joker (except in voice).

Since I drew plenty of happy(?) shuake comics, I guess Goro gets to be miserable again.

I wanted to draw Akechi losing grip on reality after coming back from doing his job in Mementos because I think it’s pretty reasonable to experience reality blur after years of doing that line of work. He basically uses Joker as an anchor to reality and asks random questions to ground himself. They seem like they do knowledge battles/debates pretty often during their meetups hence such questions.

I was thinking a lot about one of my favorite song from Cowboy Bebop Knocking on Heaven’s Door. The comic’s inspired by the song.
