Hello everyone!

Like I said in my previous long ooc post, if given the opportunity, I will bring Jaehyo back. He's far too important to me to be stacked on a shelf of dropped characters to garner dust. But for now, this is goodbye for him :(

I'm sorry to everyone who I've been plotting with and to people who I had hoped him to have strong relationships with, but his character has just become too much of a mess from repeated plot severing and bad ooc decisions. Perhaps, when I come back, we can try again to come up with something?

If you want to find me, I will be on Skype (message me if you'd like it?) and maybe I'll come back with another faceclaim! I love you all and if admin sees this, thank you so much to her for bearing with me and giving me such good advice through my troubles with this character!

A glint of new-found amusement shone in the night elf’s black eyes. It had been awhile since he had used magic to produce the fire from within in such a large quantity, and quite frankly, he wasn’t sure exactly how well this was going to turn out for him. His mind was moving slower than he would have liked it to, his attacks coming at a fraction of the speed they should have. Mental note to practice his fire manipulation.

Hyun Joong blinked as he saw the ball of fire coming at him. His brows furrowed as he quit his previous attack, using both of his hands to slow down its pace. Time seemed to stop for him, his head cocking as he took in the fire. His brain began to nitpick the design, using his fingers as he started to unravel the fire bomb. He had seen something similar to this before when he was younger. Everything can be solved with a mathematical equation, it is your job to know what formula to use and enact it on the situation at hand.

A smile played on his lips, memories coming at the strangest of times as the ball of fire began to dissipate and fall at his feet. The kid was good, he would give him that much.

Jaehyo was suddenly and thoroughly puzzled at what had just happened. Did the other just... disassemble his bomb? Given, he'd hoped that in the best scenario the guy would have just dodged it, but he hadn't thought that he would just unravel the damn thing and let it dissipate off into the sunset. What the hell. What the hell. Jaehyo simply gaped at the scene before him as his elegant explosive diffused as though it were some kind of colored gas. When he regained his wits, he blinked at the other, unsure of what words were to come out of his mouth, and mumbled, "So. You like physics, too?"

Hyun Joong didn’t try to hide his eye roll, because if this was how things were going to go down, it was going to be utterly boring and worth his time. He allowed the other student to direct his ball of fire back at him, holding up his hand as the flame met the palm. His left hand slowly made its way up, parallel with that of the hand containing the flame. Considering he had never met this student, he didn’t have any knowledge of what his abilities were.

He placed his hands together, the flame enveloping both of his hands. He cocked his head to the side as he pulled them apart, letting his hands swing a bit before he unleashed an almost lava-esque flame along the ground. Anyone could control a fireball, but during his past experiences, it was the low fires that took up a vast amount of space that got people.

While he didn't like to admit it, Jaehyo was slightly surprised by the creativity of the other's attack. The flame shot across the ground and, while Jaehyo was not startled, he had to take the slightest fraction of a second to admire the unconventional way in which the other fought. At this point, he was moving purely from instinct, gesturing again with his finger to guide the fire upward and spiral into a ball, then compressing the newly gathered fireball and making a tossing motion with his hand as a makeshift bomb.

He had only done this once before, and his intention was not actually to hurt the other. The last time he had done this he had blown up an entire two floors of an abandoned school. Of course the fireball he had compressed was much larger, but compressed energy was a dangerous thing to deal with and he was almost tempted to take his move back, watching curiously as it moved in a graceful arc towards the other. He hoped the guy knew the physics involved, otherwise it would get a little out of control, and he didn't want to burn down the school or kill anyone.

"Jaehyo."

"Yo. Hey. What’s up."

"…I….." 

She stuttered softly not finding the words she wanted to express. “So….you didn’t forget me….ah ok.” In that moment she felt the urge to run away and stepped back stumbling slightly. She hadn’t expected…..him to remember her. It didn’t make this any easier.

She steadied herself against the wall, the dehydration from her alcohol consumption drifting over her mind. 

"I left suddenly, and in the time I was away did you even wonder…? Did you even think about me?"

As she stumbled backwards, Jaehyo felt an urge to steady her, though he couldn't possibly imagine himself acting on it. Swallowing, he watched as she balanced herself against the wall. A minor guilt settled, thick, in his stomach.

The thing that bothered Jaehyo most about her question was that yes, he had. He did not choose to remind himself at that time whether he had thought about her in any particular way, be it romantic or not, given that it would only bother him further. But he had. They had developed a routine, sort of—though she had been unbearable to work with at times, he had come to be able to put up with her (perhaps even to like her, though he would never permit himself to reminisce on anything that could not be objective—he might never well be ready for such a thing). And he was not ready to take her words in the context that seemed implicit in such a question.

Pursing his lips and ignoring the churning in his stomach, he stood stiff in place and nodded slightly. "Yes." He averted his gaze, folding his hands behind his back, and mumbled, "Take that answer how you will."

"Yo. Hey. What’s up."

"Do I look familiar to you?"

/squints quizzically/ "Of course you do." /taps his head with his index finger/ "Eidetic memory, remember?"

I’m going to shave your eyebrows and cut your balls off in your sleep. Then I’ll take pictures of you with no balls and send it to everyone in the school.

/is finding it reaLLy difficult to not like this kid, the beginnings of a smile growing on his face because no one has ever really thought he was funny before/ Am I really, now? /attempts to sound haughty, quirking a condescending eyebrow, but is genuinely curious/

(/lets out a high pitch scream, dropping the stick and shaking his hand in case it caught on fire because that is the first reaction that comes to mind) Why the fuck would you try to light me on fire? (/lets go of the stranger’s hand finally and clutches as his now injured one, looking back at the other guy with a pitiful expression) I’m gonna kill you in your sleep now. (/he gives a fake sniff as if he’s trying to hold back tears, because even though it really did hurt like hell, crying wasn’t a reaction to pain for him) You should either apologize and make me dinner or watch your back, you bastard.

/is satisfied with the other's reaction, smirking satisfactorily to himself/ Why would you try to take my stick? I think they're the same level of offense here. /picks up his stick and waves it at the other before backing away/ Yes, you try that. Go ahead and kill me. Have fun. /turns around and stalks off, swinging his stick around again/ Bye, stick-stealer.

/he rolls his eyes, folding arms in almost a defiant manor before sighing/ Well, damn. You drew me in with fire, I saw your face and then heard your attitude and you got me hooked /snorts/ Whatever man, its cool. I’m way to busy for any sort of shit like hitting on straight guys.

/is very uncomfortable wiTH THIS SITUATION and un-brandishes his stick/ Uh. Thanks. I'll just. Be on my waY now. /blinks and takes his stick, turning and walking away/ Bye.

/decides, rather begrudgingly, that he thinks this guy is sorta-kinda cool, then pushes that thought to the very back of his mind/ I'm worthy of being anything, obviously. And it won't. /waves it around more/ Not if I don't want it to.

(/grabs onto the stick with one hand, snatching the stranger’s free hand with the other) Okay. Now we can be friends. Come play with me.

/lights the entire stick on fire once the other grabs onto it and pulls his hand away, waiting for a reaction/

/grabs the end of the stick, flames engulfing his hand for a short second, breaking the stick with a combat boot and extinguishing the fire with a black haze/ now that that’s done /stands up and brushes his clothing off/ I would have to say, your attitude, looks and your ability to create fire is /smirks/ very attractive.

YOU JUST BROKE MY STICK. /glares, annoyed, not that the stick was special but he was having a fine time parading around with the dumb thing/ Ugh. /balks at the other when he smirks and calls him attractive/ Woah. Woah. Wait, back up a sec. I'd like you to know that I'm. Uh. Straight. /subconsciously takes a step backward/ Please don't be hitting on me.
