You're bored.
It's four in the morning.
And you're bored.
Turning to your partner, who was already asleep, you press your face against his arm..
It was always such a comforting feeling for you.
The light hum of his soul sounds louder now in the quiet of the night, bringing your attention to it. Red hue glowing a little too bright for your eyes at the moment yet your curiosity stopped you from turning away.
Looks like he's having an okay dream tonight.. Or maybe he's not dreaming at all. Either way, his soul floated steadily above his chest… the movement, slow…
You yawn, eyes closing as you pondered if you should just try and go to sleep even though you swore you weren't sleepy a moment ago-
Dark, empty sockets stare back at you.
You jolt- hitting his arm lightly, “Oh my god, you fucking scared me.”
He chuckles softly, rolling over onto his side and pulling you close. “… sorry... but.. you'll forgive me.. right?”
He grins, sleepy and lopsided. You can't help but roll your eyes and move even closer.
A mock gasp, exaggerated offense. “but babe… i thought you loved me?” He says in a hurt tone.
That quickly gets a smile out of you- despite you not wanting to give in so fast. You turn, hiding your face from him.
“well. i love you,” he says, voice soft and full of mirth, “i love you so much.”
“…i love you.” He says again. Softer.
He shifts, sitting up a little. “…say it back.” He mutters, tone slightly different. Insistent.
When you turn to look at him again, you notice the edges of his eyes had the tiniest bit of black leakage and his soul wavered- just for a moment. ...Softie.
He grins wide as he pulls you close, “..again.”
You laugh, knowing he would ask. “I love you, Sans. I love you sooo much.”
He nuzzles his face into your neck, content. “I love you too…”
“Hey..! You're smudging your eye goop all over me..!”
“you told me you were used to it now though…?”
“no.. what's cold is.. your heart.”
You laugh as he pushes his face deeper into your neck, not letting you get away.
