Sorry if you've already answered this, but why do Sans and Papyrus have diamonds on their heads?

Heya, it’s ok to ask again! It’s been a while since I answered this and I’ve thought about it a lot since then.

Essentially the diamonds on their heads are connected to their special brand of magic. Sans and Papyrus have always had them and assume that it’s something normal to all skeleton monsters (they don’t know of any others apart from themselves.)

Because they live in the Dream Realm, their magic is kind of psychological/philosophically inspired? It’s all themed around how we experience our realities.

Oh BTW they also have their normal magic such as the bone constructs and turning things blue.

(I’ve also started thinking I want to draw the “diamonds” more star-shaped but ‘m scared it’s too late now D,:)

Slumber Azzie is just as kind and soft as he is in the games.
