I think romancing Minthara as a bard makes so much sense cuz

1. The Spider's Lyre. She gifts it to you if you raid the grove (soooo cute), and if you knock her out and take it, it still looks dope

2. She's canonically the most funny person we know, and who else is funny? A bard.

3. It's funny to see this tanky, big smiting Oath of Vengeance Paladin fall in love with A silly little guy™ (gender neutral). Maybe they can teach her how to enjoy parties!

4. If you talk with her about the Baldur's Mouth Gazette being propaganda, she remarks at the power of words and how they can be even more powerful than weapons. Guess who knows Vicious Mockery and Dissonant Whispers...

5. Her VA Emma Gregory said Minthara's speaking patterns were inspired by Shakespeare, since she loves Shakespeare and theatre. Writer Adam Smith (I think) was also inspired by Emma's work and reflected that in the script. Very bardcore

Aranessa Evercrest, a name the tiefling “bard” gave herself as she tries to suppress a dark urge that lingers just beneath the surface. Adelleria Rumiel, an astral elf stranded far from home and severed from her stars, longing for nothing more than to find her way back.

Once Astarion was finally free from Cazador’s clutches for good, a newfound sense of hope began to bloom within him. It was a foreign, yet comfortingly warm feeling after two centuries of fear and survival. For the first time in his long, miserable existence, he allowed himself to dream about the future. A future he could share with Mylla. Together, they spoke of all the adventures they’d embark on once Baldur’s Gate was safe from domination, even conversations about searching for some sort of solution to his affliction with the sun. And though Astarion knew, deep down, that his immortality would always be acruel reminder to them, he still clung to hope with both, undead hands. Because for once, hope no longer felt impossible. But fate tore it away from him all the same. As Mylla’s body lay limp in his arms upon the city docks, that fragile dream of his shattered beyond repair. The future they’d once spoken about so tenderly, so fondly, was gone before it ever truly had the chance to begin. How foolish he had been. How utterly foolish. To believe fate was something a person could forge for themselves rather than something thrusted upon them. To think he, of all people, could outrun tragedy. His hope had blinded him to the truth that had been waiting for them from the very beginning: this was always how their story was meant to end. She would die. And he would be left behind alone.
