It didn’t take much for the researcher to realize something to do with her mind had been meddled with. After all, it wasn’t natural for one to wake up in a city, under the impression that never before had they been there, when in fact their calendar showed that they ran on a schedule. Or, in her case, when it seemed that her files contained a lot of preemptive data on the research she had been conduction on the place so far. Most intriguingly, were the files related to those workers who were under her.
A branch of JP’s had been instated in this city, had it? Phone flipped open, it looked like there were indeed contacts who were fellow members of the group before; Alcor, Daichi, Hibiki, Yamato, all lined up as they should be. With a small click, the device was quickly folded closed again, her mind set to see one of their buildings for herself.
And, upon arriving, it was better than she expected. A random one — the closest — despite the possibility of it not being under her own management, was the one that the researcher had entered. Clean, respectable, she supposed. Though, it was still rather empty.
"Hnn…" So far, it seemed that nobody had arrived. Either their members were slackers, they had also forgotten the existence of the job, or the group was sorely understaffed. Or, perhaps, a collection of the three. Whatever it was, Fumi wasted no time in her next venture; as if she was going to waste her time with something like this while still getting used to the city. So far as she was concerned, no memories? No problem. She did need some time to look over what progress she had already made in learning about this place though.
In regards to this, a note was taped to the front of the doors by the researcher, locking them as she left.
CITTA JP’S HEADQUARTERS
CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
If Hotsuin had a problem with it, he could take it up with her, but there was no way she was dealing with something like this right now. Shoulder brushing with someone who had seemed on their way to the building as she made to exit the premise, a neutral “Don’t bother,” was spoken as they passed. If it was an employee, she might as well give them warning of what to expect.
Why was he here?
Daichi had some connection with this place… But what was it? Something to do with… Home. But.. This was home. Hive City. Even the name of the group was lost to him. By now, it had sent him into some panic.. Anxiety that came from knowing this place was somewhat important to him from his time in Hive City. And a woman.. Who…? He didn’t know her so if this place was a place he knew then..
“Wait.”
The demon tamer didn’t let her pass so easily. Rather, he grabbed her arm, giving her a more distressed stare.
"Who the hell are you…?"
His phone was flipped open in his hand but there was only one name listed that should have matched with hers. Hibiki Kuze. Still, the demon summoning app was available to him. It was something he’d always had, right? And it was how he fought to get to where he was in the city. He still didn’t like it but.. It was normal.
This was his home.
And this — whatever the hell this was — It was messing with his head in a way he didn’t like. If he knew this person, he couldn’t recall where or how he met her to begin with. Hell, he was sure he didn’t know her..
He couldn't recall much, but this wasn't home and why was he here. Phone closely nearby with a scowl on his face, he wasn't someone who wanted to deal with anymore. Though there was something that beeped over and over again calling for him to do something. Looking at his phone as he walked down the sidewalk with his own business (lackthereof) in mind, words flashed upon the screen that alerted him that he was to buy dog food. The reason for that, even he wasn't sure but he was greatly appalled. He had no idea to retrieve meals ingested by the common house rat.
With it telling him to go to JP's was what he was unsure of, following the directions that were placed within it for the building should have not been created but much to his amazement, it was standing tall within this city he did not understand. As he walked towards it, eyes fell upon Shijima holding onto Kanno like a madman. A raise of his brow as the director crossed his arms, he was not fond of this action for everyone were grown, they could keep their hands to themselves.
❝Shijima, remove your hands from Kanno. This is no time and there will never be a time where you must engage in such commonfolk acts. You are under Hotsuin property, show your familiars some respect.❞ He would stay under his orders even while they stayed within the unknown, he didn't try to figure out what was wrong. To be immersed in a place where he held no recollection, he needed them all to be on their best behavior.
❝Have you both decided to stop fooling around, we have much more important problems, why is this establishment even alive. It has no purpose. Who believed this was funny to do towards my family name.❞
