I have to say, I really love how they've chosen to do Molly's eyes. His irises and pupils are very subtle, which helps capture the pupil-less look of the original character design, but visible enough to give them some much-needed directionality. Like, in an animated show, you'll need to be able to tell where he’s looking and who/what he’s looking at, which is actually possible with this art design.

i have gotten both of my roommates to watch mna by dangling jester out in front of them like a treat because they are hopelessly endeared by her whimsy and dick jokes. and that’s what being the people’s princess is all about

okay. mna future season theorising. CAMPAIGN SPOILERS AHEAD FOR ALL THOSE WHO DONT WANNA SEE IT!

i am going for the assumption that mna will have five seasons like tlovm is planned to!

season 2 has a few possibilities of where it could go next, and while straight to the dynasty is one, idk if they do that. which is mainly a hopeful thing probably lol. season one only gets us up to about episode 12 or so campaign wise, so about forty eps happen inbetween, and i dont think theyd go that fast - hear me out.

they need to get out of zadash at the end of s1, and while i do think itd be too soon for jester to see her mama again, i think they could switch things up and do the pirate arc before hupperdook potentially - this is because atp they dont need to do the swamp job for the gentleman since fjord has the cloven crystal now (which would be sad because i do love kiri and calianna), but i dont know if i see it happening. if they do decide to go hupperdook first, through the swamp to meet kiri and cali, i think molly isnt gonna die where he did in campaign. i imagine them getting to hupperdook really freaking quickly in the show, and because of how s1 ended, i think molly is safe until the s2 finale - it would make sense for is death to be more than what it was in campaign.

so, either pirate arc could happen first, then up to hupperdook for a similar molly death finale, or hupperdook first and pirate arc with a different death after.

i dont imagine the pirate arc being more than three episodes honestly, but i do think it matters for fjords story to still include it somehow, and not just cut it (which i am fearful of somewhat). i do also think that there is the potential of yashas later obann arc happening wayyy earlier on, probably in s2 - especially since we’ve already been shown what shes been doing, and since theyve already shown us a rift so early on as well. i think having this arc take place in s2 - or at least start in s2 to culminate in s3 would make a lot of sense.

i also think that the happy fun ball stuff would be moved out of the pirate arc - potentially getting the ball then, but not using it til s3. there is the risk of it being cut entirely, but i think it would be a fun stand alone episode.

season 3 would start off primarily dealing with the aftermath of grief with molly dying, and the party meeting caduceus. now, this would mean cad wouldnt be there for the potential pirate arc, but honestly without the pirate arc in s2 im not sure how they would pad it out since the gentleman was not involved with beacon stuff previously, so it halts a lot of their work with him since they stole if on his job.

i think s3 would be where the travel to the dynasty happens, down from the savalirwood. one of the earlier episodes would focus on nott, and have he realise her family is still alive (since in the show it seems that shes not sure), and then yeza gets kidnapped like in campaign which continues to push them towards the dynasty. i think they get there halfway through the season, and we get our little i am no friend to the empire moment.

the back half of s3 is them in the dynasty, and working on obann and the rift stuff probably, and likely ending with the big church fight somehow still. maybe also in that is them helping cad find his family as well.

season 4 would be the politics and intrigue back as they work towards trying to stop the war, but that alone does seem somewhat weak. obviously, travelercon also happens, though it would say theres potential to have it before the final, since it makes more sense to have the season end with the war also ending. i also think there is an episode (perhaps 4 or 5) where they go to kamordah and the hag, though there is potential for that to slot into the end of s3.

and season 5 would be all aeor babeyyy. on top of the cerberus politics and somnovem stuff too. the aeor arc is just a really nice capstone.

these are my thoughts as both a dan, but also as someone who is really interested in adaptations through mediums, and i could probably really plan it out if i was at my computer and looking at every episode.

my thoughts around s2 and kinda s3 are more concrete because thats what we’re heading into, and i have more of an idea on the flow, while part of 3, and 4 & 5 are less solid in thought. it all dependa what we see in season 2!!
