Rhythm I saw it in a crossword What else was I thinking of? About some words not coming into shape. And staring out at the abyss of some indecision. Of space in my mind. Waiting for something to make sense. There are some steps to this. I'll figure out sometime.

Then I realised it was grief:

Yesterday I wanted to rip the tears that were dropping from my eyes. And bury them in the ground. In despair at my vulnerability I then realised it was grief, and sadness and attachment to what I think should and shouldn't be. Then I let them go into the air And accepted that it's okay to feel vulnerable, and weak, and sad sometimes. And to remember who I am when I'm not feeling these things.

There are so many good posts here on tumblr. So many good ones I'd like to read. I suppose it's just finding the time....yet who has that kind of time? Some people do.

My post for today:

People we meet along the way...

And then there's the ones we will never meet.

The ones that turn the corner just before we do, disappearing out of sight. Closing the door behind them, just as we enter. That's just the way it is sometimes.

I'm reading a novel.

One I've been wanting to read for over ten years. Maybe even more. I suppose that's the way it is sometimes.

The days weather is mild.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring.

And then saw heaps of theories of how she must have died.

And then I watched another documentary and it offered up the best and most plausible explanation.

As if that's going to help.

Things we notice

how often do we pass things we don’t take proper notice of?

there’s this man I often see just down the street from where we live.

He has a beautiful garden.

I’m not sure what to say.

I’ve never spoken to him.

He often sees me walking with Rocky.

I think he is paranoid that the dog is going to shit on his yard.

I just sort of smile, and make sure he can see the doggy doo doo bag I always carry.

He is always in his garden.

it is so nice.

Maybe he likes his garden more than he likes people.

Maybe all of my assumptions are wrong.

Sometimes I sniff the flowers,

I hope he doesn’t see me doing that!

Oh well, such is life.

I have never spoken to this man.

Probably never will.

One of the guys family members said hi to me the other day.

And then a week later, a (sort of smile) from him.

These things, happen sometimes.

I do believe, and have long thought that beer is a type of liquid gold.

the landscape

Scenes of ashes and scorched dirt

simmering upon the landscape oh...

What do we do now?

We know so very little.

and then nature shows us who’s boss.

In the flicker of a secon

it could be all gone.

What do we do now?

We gotta pull together

for each other.

This landscape is ours,

but we are its hostages.

All those people in despair.

If we don’t look after it

who’s going to?

If we don’t look after it,

our ignorance will kill us.

Oh pray for rain.

For solace in this thousand km mess.

What about the animals?

500,000 000 gone. 

Knock knock goes my heart.

Without them we are nothing.

Just an empty space to look at,

filled with fire out upon the landscape.

Parched and burnt.

We need the rain.

Oh pray for rain,,

come down now.

We need you so.

All those hands,

working in unison.

Oh  Oh Oh,

we are beholden to this land.
