1) What does your muse smell like? He smells of sweet herbs and flowers due to growing them being one of his beloved hobbies. Planters full of flowers and herbs line the windows of his captain quarters.

2) How often does your muse bathe/shower? If not a full bath, he sponge bathes while aboard the ship, daily. The ship docks along the coasts for trade deals and exchanges quite frequently so having plenty of water aboard the ship is not an issue.

3) Does your muse have any tattoos or piercings? He has the tattoo of an anchor on his shoulder that is coiled in rose vines.

4) Any body movement quirks (e.g. tapping heel, shaking knee)? He is quite articulate with his hands when he speaks.

5) What do they sleep in? He sleeps in a rather comfy bed in the captain’s quarters of The Black Ranger. Very rarely will he sleep in a tavern or inn.

6) What’s their favourite piece of clothing? He loves clothing, considering he crafts fine clothing during long nights when he is unable to sleep. He is rather gifted with his hands. Picking a favorite article of clothing would be impossible.

7) What do they do when they wake up? The first thing Henreth does is water his herbs and flowers as his morning tea steeps. Once he’s had his cup of tea, he gets cleaned up and steps outside of his quarters to check on his crew and his ship.

8) How do they sleep? Position? He doesn’t sleep too well since the death of his dear friend and captain, Captain Drakus Kolvar. When he does sleep he has nightmares of the night he couldn’t do much to save the man after being injured in the process. However, when he does sleep, he sleeps on his back mostly, but occasionally on his sides. He does occasionally sleepwalk to the galley and eat whatever his hands can find. The crew has learned to lock most of the food away and leave him out a plate of leftovers.

9) What do their hands feel like? Despite his cleanliness and his refined behavior, Henreth is a hard working ship captain. He gets his hands dirty, just like the rest of the crew considering he was only a the First Mate of the original captain of The Black Ranger. After the brutal murder of Captain Drakus Kolvar, the ship passed to him, the only thing that changed about him was his title.

Death had been a passing acquaintance in her life, coming and going as it pleased, sometimes at her own invitation. It’s cold embrace was all too familiar for it to take her by surprise. After all, the only constant in life was the inevitable last breath exhaled out of lifeless lungs. Death was not the culprit for the crushing pain that weighed on her heart. Not even the scalding hot water of the shower she had secluded herself in, could wash it away

The water wrinkled pads of her fingers kept her stable, hot streams beating down upon her back and turning it a brilliant shade of crimson. Allowing someone to get close to her had been something that she avoided since her mother’s murder. Being vulnerable to the loss of was not something she wished to ever endure again. Drakus’s friendship had crept up in a time when she had no one and they had been two sides of the same dark coin, understanding each other in a way that could only be compared to that of siblings. And now he was gone. Venreena loathed herself for not hugging him goodbye that night.That moment ate away at her stomach like a parasite, not giving her a single moment of relief. She would have to live with that for the rest of her days, the opportunity at a last goodbye taken by her own stubbornness.

In the captains cabin of Venreena's ship 'The Oathbreaker' would be broken into, nothing taking or really missplaced claw marks and damage to her front door was clear but something was left, a sack now the bottom covered in blood a note left. "I'm coming for you next"

((NSFW Below.))“Drakus?” Venreena called out as she stepped onto the deck of The Oathbreaker, at the exact time that they had agreed to meet the night previously. The ship’s captain turned her head, looking for some sign of her friend as she ventured further onto the ship. Coming up to the main deck, her tanned skin turned ghostly white, seeing the claw marks deeply embedded into the wood of her cabin door which stood ajar. Amber eyes fell to the floor, blood drops trailing inside. Her mouth went dry as dreaded steps carried her inside, pushing the door open with her hand. Dread washed over her in cold waves. She didn’t want to know, didn’t want to see but the unknown pulled her in like a cat on a string. “Drakus?” She choked out, the overwhelming stench of blood filling her nose. On her bed now stained beneath the bag, laid the note left for her to see. A shaky hand reached for the bag, pulling the drawstring. Venreena stumbled backwards into the desk before falling to the floor. Drakus’ eyes stared back at her, dimmed of the life that once glinted like stars against midnight black irises. His mouth hung open in permanent shock of his murderer’s identity and abrupt end to his short life.“NOOOO!” The woman sobbed out, hot tears spilling over the curve of her cheeks. “Oh Gods, please no!” Breathing suddenly became difficult, her small hands clutching at her chest in vain attempts to tear holes where her nails dug so she could breathe. There would be no respite for the anguish that filled her soul.

With Friends Like These...

The blades strapped to her thighs provided little comfort as she walked down to the Harbor. She had already let Cedrick know through their own private comm where she was headed and Alexina and Levv had been informed she would be down here as well… She didn’t know if it was residual guilt from last weeks events or if her instincts were sounding off in her head due to something being awry.

Venreena stopped at the height of the ramp, becoming deadly still. The hairs on the nape of her neck stood up on end, send a horrible unpleasant shiver down her spine. Flashbacks of the previous year had her on edge, prompting her amber eyes to shift side to side, half expecting to see the tail end of a black cloak disappearing behind a corner. Calm, Ven, calm. They’re gone….

Closing her eyes, she let her keen hearing do her hunting for her. Laughter shared by a couple just over by the gazebo behind the Cathedral. The steady clop of a horse’s feet pulling a carriage the next street over. The rustle of the trees in the warm spring breeze that wafted up from the harbor.

And nothing.

A note would be left easy to see, and it would read: "Traitors will be keelhauled, their ships burnt, their families turned into slavery. We know who you are, expect us." Down the bottom of the note a stamp of an anchor infront of a blood drop.

Fathomless midnight irises stared down at the note that had been stabbed into the side of The Black Ranger with a rather ordinary dagger. No indication of how long it had been there or who had been so brazen to leave a threat of this magnitude. Still… Threats were not something that Drakus took lightly and with everything that had been happening, he knew that this would require quick action. Tucking the note away into his back pocket, the Gilnean ship captain looked around, almost expecting to see something or someone suspicious. “Need to see Ven about this soon…” He muttered to himself, disappearing inside to write a letter to his old friend.

Burning Bridges

“Are you sure you want to do this, Ven?” Drakus’ voice came from behind her. “It’s a shame to see something so fine go to waste.”

The cool night breeze pulled at her hair, while her amber eyes, once bright and alive, now cold and fathomless, looked out at the two other ships waiting patiently. It was time to sever ties with what once was and what might have been. Venreena nodded slowly and turned her head to look over her shoulder at Drakus. Her friend through many dangers and the one person she could trust with this.

As soon as Tyldan saw the captain, he could not help but feel his eyes almost turn red as embers. There before him, stood the captain who acted as though Elizebella was his, and that she would run back into his bed at a moments notice. He looked to his left, but remembered that his guard, Mace Longclaw was not with him; he would have to settle this matter personally...

The usual arrogant smirk that seemed to be a permanent fixture on the pirate's face was absent. Instead, he looked rather... concerned as he turned the corner in Stormwind from the Trade District, heading his way back to the Harbor. Drakus adjust the loose fitting tunic he adorned, safely concealing the pendant he wore and fixed his bandoleer to cross the middle of his broad muscular chest as he walked. Just as he was about to step onto the bridge, he felt a pair of eyes on him, causing him to stop abruptly and turn. Immediately, the arrogant, smug facade took over his face and he grinned wickedly at Tyldan. He was far too easy and fun to tease and torment and he needed something to brighten his day. "Ahhh, Forester," he greeted, deliberately butchering Tyldan's last name, hoping to needle him a smidgen. He bent at the waist, spreading his arms as he bowed in a mocking fashion.

“I’ll tell you where I’ve been.”

Dechlan grinned mischievously as he stared out at the city of Stormwind from the harbor. It had been sometime since he had docked here. “These walls aren’t strong enough for me and mine, Drakus.” The pirate said with a playful nudge to his friend’s arm, “That’s why I don’t come back here. And because every last woman here likely knows who I am. But that’s besides the point.” He trailed off. Drakus glanced over to Dech and snorted, “..and you think they don’t know who I am? Come now, brother.”

A quiet sigh escaped from the devilishly handsome man’s features, “Yeah, well, I do have another reason. Ven is going to skin me alive when she finds out where I’ve been.”

Drakus’ brow quirked in curiousity, “Yeah? And why’s that, D? Where’ve you been?”

Dechlan narrowed his eyes and looked over to the other pirate, “I’ll tell you where I’ve been! In booty bay, recruiting those dirty scoundrels for the fleet! In other words, wasting time. Getting piss drunk and fucking whores.” The roguish captain offered his friend a toothy grin, “Where I belong. Not here, amongst these.. things.. – Honestly can’t believe Ven has become one of them.”

“What? A landlubber?” Drakus questioned.

“Exactly!” Dechlan groaned.

“And I am gonna give her an earful when we meet. I’ll tell her where I’ve been! Where a rightful pirate belongs.”

Plans Unfolding

It was bad form to come aboard another Captain’s vessel without their verbal consent. Common courtesy and respect demanded such, especially from other Captains. However, Venreena was confident enough that Drakus would allow her to leave with both hands in tact. The vessel seemed empty, but she had the inclination that she wasn’t it’s only occupant. Booted feet meandered around the wooden deck, memories of the time she spent in the fleet flooding back to her in a tsunami. Countless battles, hundreds of nights spent dancing and drinking in taverns and on each other’s ships. It was a more carefree time, though she worked just as hard. Still, she was content with the life she had chosen.

A deep clearing of a throat sounded from behind her. Ven didn’t jump, only turned around to face her former colleague. “Captain Kolvar,” she greeted with a small smile.

Guess Who’s Back?

The moon was still hanging high in the night sky when a horrible burning sensation in her chest woke her up, gasping for air. Slender fingers reached to the bedside table for her water glass, bringing it to her lips to douse the fire burning within her. Venreena finished off what was left in her glass and set it back down. “Oh Gods…” she groaned, clearing her throat several times.

She tried to lay back down, but the heartburn only came back. Realizing she wouldn’t be getting any sleep the remainder of the evening, she pushed herself out of bed.
