got some art for y'all, specifically a bit long character height chart earlier last week I was basically this: I was curious of what the fear of bugs was called then I rolled into remembering about this interesting character concept I saw on a comment, under a video I watched, which was "a counselor that has a fear of whatever creatures populate the school they were hired at having to get over their fear to keep their job". so I got a bit inspired because I really like that character concept.

Most of these people in this chart are supposed to be teachers with the exception of four of them(Pheobe- the counselor, Gwen- the principal, Tom- the bus driver, and Charlie- the school nurse). they were really fun to draw, especially the ones who are supposed to be a bit on the older side because I finding out more and more that drawing old people are more interesting to me. I also decided to call the general anthro bug people in this potential story they are from, "Bug folk"

I'm not fully satisfied with some of their color palettes, at least right now as of finishing the chart(the last few were a bit of a slog honestly, so I might have not given them as good as color choices as the others), so there might be some small adjustments for some of the characters' colors(and maybe a detail alteration here or there) later. (i'mma make try to make another character height chart soon, this time with some students who would be focused on in like side plots that are connected to the main plot if I decide to get a story made with these characters[10 main staff, 10 or very possibly less than 10 main students])

If an analog horror monster pulls up on me, I would win. I don't care how scary or strong they are, these fists are rated E for everyone that they aren't an exception. "But they are this and that meh meh meh," Shh, I'd win

These monsters thinking they are gonna get easy prey won't have their guard up enough to predict me jumping them on sight. Gonna give them the good old one two to get them on the ground before going absolute apeshit wailing on them.

Highly recommend the Stardew Valley cook book if you're looking for a cook book to make more veggie dishes and some seafood/fish dishes

I made a handful of some of the recipes so far (the Fiddlehead risotto[I used asparagus as a substitution since I don't live somewhere where the ferns could be obtained easily and freshly], the eggplant parmesan[household current favorite so far], the fried mushrooms, the spaghetti[which is a homemade butternut squash pasta with Mushroom Bolognese], and the chocolate chip cookies) and so far every dish is delicious and I have no complaints (only complaint I have is towards myself for being a bit of a dumbass for the cookies because I used instant oatmeal that was in the pantry for a few years instead of normal oatmeal in the recipe, which made the cookies dry out when stored in my cookie jar). Definitely a good way to increase your intake of vegetables in a tasty way.

It's a good thing Super Mario Sunshine King Boo is fictional, because I can just imagine how much brain cell killing paint fumes would probably be radiating off of him in a 100 yard radius. No wonder the hotel workers tricked Mario into fighting him, their entire guest list and the entire staff in the hotel would have been completely brain dead in like 3-4 days.

Dude is about 100% paint and has not a cannonical thought that isn't about gambling behind those goat-like eyes. And I love him for it.

I softlocked by self from making Everette, Caspian, and Gossamer big fans of at least the book version of Project Hail Mary(I haven't read the book or watched the movie but I like what the fandom makes of it and what bits and pieces from the audio book I can find in fan-made animatics. I'mma try to get the book for Christmas)

All three of them could have been big obsessed fans of Rocky(for different reasons E: Rocky's love for his mate, C: for his dynamic with Grace, and G: for his speech pattern[he would be such a parrot with some lines, omg]) together

forgot to post these a while ago(and/or forgot if I did post these before) because they are still a work in progress and then promptly forgot to finish them, but here are some wip refs of some new OCs. 1 is a rework of a character from a horror artwork I did a while ago and 2 are completely new. they are supposed to be a team of researchers from the late 1820's that would set out in a large odyssey cross the world they are from and the connected realms to be the first in history to record detailed research based on the sentient species that live in this universe It was fun to do the research for these designs, I went down a rabbit hole.

They are from the Netherlands, the titles the that Mara C. Cherry(need to adjust the name on the ref) and Rosey Tulip have are basically "Researcher" and "Researcher's assistant" if you're wondering Source:

(I'm sorry if the clothing turns out to be wrong, It was hard to find 1820's fashion specifically in the Netherlands, so I went with the closest thing I could find at the time of reasearch)

Applebrook update coming, I just wanted to share my newest creation.

This is a highly specific reference

Slight trigger warning for a bit of blood.

The acronym stands for "Old Bloody Frostbitten Chicken W/ Shitty Teriyaki Sauce"

And it's based off a few things I seen from reaction videos where pro chefs react to this cooking YouTube channel called Cooking with Jack, that I combined all into one dish.

I got the idea after getting a yeonggye-baeksuk from a mystery bag and I am very sorry for the dish for using it in this manner but the idea hit hard and it was the only item I have so far that's a whole chicken (I didn't want to attempt to draw a whole chicken, that's too mucb effort for this joke).

The references in this dish:

Jack's shitty "the best" seasoning and sauces products that were mostly sold in random hardware stores for some reason and never again anywhere else (People have a hard time trying to find them to try)

That time Jack severely undercooked 2 pairs of Bone-in thighs&Legs chicken pieces from a video he was comparing McCormick bag and bake and his own "the best" seasoning (he even eats the raw chicken. He eats a lot of raw meat honestly)

The time he used a leftover brisket for a chili for a community church chili off, that was not only a bit over a year old(if I remember 14 months) but also frostbitten since it was stored in a home freezer that would be constantly opened and closed while the brisket was only wrapped in only aluminum of all things(not even in a freezer bag)

(Edit bonus because this also fits) the one time Jack wet brinded a whole chicken in buttermilk(which is not the bad part, I know) and then proceeded to cook it breast side down and also very undercooked it (and ruin a silicone baking mat via hacking at the chicken on it).

Taste test(I am sorry, Bellinor, for subjecting you to this, but canonically you are supposed to have one of the strongest stomachs due to your deal with the nightmare crown):

I'mma say that this is just because he has a strong stomach and that the reaction of the Mii fucking dying will be everyone else's reactions and not feed anyone else this abomination)

I can't believe the Nintendo Wii is one year(according to the NA, JP, AU, and EU release date) younger than me, lmao

First it was YouTube being the same age as me and now it turns out I'm older than the Wii of all things. The thing that I spent most of my childhood gaming moments on.

Those moments are now basically like if you asked a hamster to babysit your guinea pig, in my head now. /J

You know, I just thought of something. one thing that I don't see in infection au, at least the ones I watched videos on, is Asymptomatic people.

Like there's infected people, immune people, even half infected people, but no people who don't show symptoms and don't have their health affected by the virus but still a carrier of the virus.

Which honestly is a bit of a missed opportunity in my opinion, because that can lead to interesting dynamics with the virus of what things make a person asymptomatic of said plague, character dramas that could upset the cast's relationships and put a bit of paranoia in the characters(especially if the virus makes people monsters/zombies, then there's some juicy drama and paranoia of "Who the fuck was bit/infected and is hiding it from the rest of us" when no one was bit/infected, one of them was just an asymptomatic carrier), just something a little extra that I haven't seen utilized in infection au stories.

Less: either you're at risk do the virus or you're immune and cannot carry the virus at all, I wanna see an infection AU story with some asymptomatic people action. More of those stories plz.

It's just making me more fascinated in how different viruses irl work and yearning to see how different irl aspects of viruses and infections can be translated into and used in fictional worlds.
