This year, Tme Out published their list of the 'Coolest streets of the world'. Right amongst the 3 best is my favorite street in Melbourne: Gertrude street! My relationship with Gertrude is pure love. My wife worked there for a while and I used to hang out there on my own and sketch for hours. It's my favorite street in the world, it has bookshops, cool shops, barbers, hats, Art shops, designer shops, restaurants, bars,  my wife's favorite enoteca and cafes (like the sketchcup of @archiesallday ).  I dreamed of just hanging there 24/7. I am glad my favorite streetscape has gotten some international recognition! Last time we went to Savannah we spent some time at @thecollinsquarter.  We had coffee there and I loved the place for several reasons: First because is great coffee and food in Savannah (I know, obvious), and second, it reminds me of my previous home (Melbourne AU).  I need to go to Savannah more often and enjoy views like the one on this drawing! The last image here is a thumbnail sketch of the larger sketch I did. On our way to Melbourne Florida we saw this cool building in Savannah, Georgia. It's called the @thefitzroysav , and it serves nicely crafted food, inspired by Australia. My friends would see the irony here. Lovely place to visit while you are in Savannah! And nice breather sketch while I work in another piece that's a little larger.. Have you been watching the Olympics? I have. I have to admit I've enjoyed every country's medal... I think it's because I (we all?) have been more focused on the individual achievement of each athlete and team, as they do compete for their loved ones and themselves after such a difficult year. It's just great to see them all win and react, we are all winning!
