Half the people hating on brucenat aren’t just pissed for their ship. Half the people hating on brucenat aren’t just clintasha or romanogers shippers. They are Natasha Romanoff fans. Trust me; If Natasha was like this with Steve in cap2, we would have expressed hate too. If she was like this with Clint in avengers, we would have expressed hate too. We are pissed because Natasha’s character was drastically altered just so that this ship could work. Natasha Romanoff’s story arc in AOU rotated around Bruce with the  most out of character she have ever been and that’s a huge slap in the face for us. They just don’t work. They never did, given that they have little to none interactions much less a romantic involvement in any comic universe, which more or less says something.

Why I hate the pairing of Bruce/Natasha or “Brutasha”

My problem with the whole Bruce/Natasha relationship is that it was just rushed, poorly written, made both characters out of character, undermines and ruins the character of Black Widow and turns Bruce Banner into a coward.

Marvel planned for Natasha and Clint to be a thing. There were hints about them all over The Avengers and Natasha wore a Arrow necklace in The Winter Soldier. Joss Whedon fought against it. I keep hearing that it was hinted at before Age Of Ultron.  I don’t know how the Banner/Widow relationship was hinted at for a long time. The hut scene? You know, the scene where she’s terrified of Bruce? Outside of that there is literally no dialogue between the two or any chemistry or build up whatsoever.

It happens out of nowhere and thrown down our throats and is just painfully cringe worthy, especially when Bruce has BETTY ROSS! The Incredible Hulk is STILL apart of the MCU so why couldn’t they get Liv Tyler or a new actress to play Betty? You easily replaced Edward Norton so IT ISN’T THAT HARD! The thing that pisses me off about this pairing is it reduces them both to so out of character. Natasha is written to be a love sick school girl who just throws herself at him with no real chemistry, NOTHING at all like the character we’ve seen in the past movies and Bruce is written to be a clueless idiot around her and when he rejects her I am just hoping it will GO AWAY and never be brought up again but no, and if that’s not bad enough Bruce is written to be a coward, allowing The Hulk to dominate him and giving in when saving the world could have restored his hope. Having him bail just to give Natasha angst was just so dumb and Natasha’s willingness to leave everything and everyone for just one man she has zero chemistry is just bad writing and completely undermines Natasha Romanoff as a character.
