hey so this is kind of a weird request, don't worry too much if you ca't find em but. i found these gifs on a tumblr post YEARS ago and i even have a folder with some variations on these gifs but i have no idea what the source is. i know the CHARACTER is from the blur - coffee and tv music video but i have no idea where the gifs are from

i have a bunch of variants too if it'd help any but these are the main two, i think. if i'm right they seem to originate from 2008 or earlier ;_;

For the uninitiated, let's start with the context:

In 1999, the English rock band Blur released a single with their song "Coffee & TV", along with a promotional music video. The MV featured a sentient milk carton known as "Milky".

Later in 2005, the fanlisting site milkyfan.com was created, in celebration of the titular mascot. The site would encourage visitors to adopt a Milky by including one of several variations of Mliky in their forum signature.

This earlier animations are attributed to a member of the official Blur forum called dancingmilk. In the following years, more versions of Milky were added.

The credit for those later additions is given to DanAbnormal and Paiste, owners of the site milk-gifs.tk. This one surviving archive of this page can give us an idea of how renowned this lacteous lad was in his time.

LOST CAT - PEMBROKE, NC

Hello all,

different post than normal.

My beloved cat, Salem, got scared and slipped her harness February 7th, 2023, at roughly 10:30 pm - 11 pm, in Pembroke, NC.

As of Feb 10th, Salem is still missing.

I live at some of the apartments out there, which is around where she escaped.

Salem is very skittish and shy, and is an indoor only cat. She has never been on her own before and I am incredibly worried about her. I have been doing everything that I can think of to try and get her back or get people on the lookout for her.

While I know this is mostly focused on the Pembroke Town/Robeson County area of NC, you never know who lives where when they follow you.

She is a calico/tabby mix (brown-grey/white/orange), medium/long hair. She has yellow-green eyes. She is roughly 10lbs. And she is almost 2 years old. She is microchipped.

I have alerted every shelter, animal control, vet, facebook page, etc, within the next 50 miles. And that isn't a joke - one place is in the next state. I have contacted every apartment complex. I even have an Instagram ad running about her within a 10 mile radius (it would not let me do more). Tomorrow (02/10) I am printing flyers and putting them up. I have her litter box, dry food, wet food, fresh water and her mat outside. I have my door wide open. And I have been physically walking and calling for her in the area.

Any and all tips are being taken at this time, either message me here or at the number listed on her Missing picture. Thank you.

There is one site I posted this too that has something called Lost pet Cards (24PetConnect). In which they get the mailing addresses for the area, print little cards, and expedite them to everyone in the vicinity. Their smallest amount is 500 cards, and while costly, it would help get the word out because this is a very dispersed and secluded little town. So paypal and GoFundMe are linked - anything helps.

Salem is still missing so here's how the last few days have gone. Just a sum up. Bc the world decided it was going to apply Murphy's Law to my life, I guess:

1. Salem is still missing, it's almost been 3 weeks.

2. I got sick. Like, sick-sick, and my Doctor's appointment got moved back by an entire month.

3. I have used every extra penny I've had to make posters, use gas to go looking, etc. All with no luck. And honestly, I might have over spent. Okay so I did overspend and didn't realize. Bc of number 4.

4. My job is a first come - first serve basis type of tasks, which is what makes up our time for pay. Does anyone wanna guess how many hours I've lost on this paycheck between looking for Salem and just a general lack of tasks? If you answered "more than half" at this current point in time, you are very correct. So this paycheck is going to be uhhhh, bad.

5. Ongoing fight with my mother. Literally just. Why.

6. Men keep using the number off the pet flyers to hit on me and try to get me to have drinks with them. Not a word about Salem. I just keep getting hit on now. (':

7. No more calls about Salem, and the rare ones I have gotten are pertaining more to if she's home yet or Dopplegangers. Being at all hours I've barely slept as well, because I keep going out to check just in case.

8. I absolutely shattered my phone today. Just completely. It hit the cement and the screen has gone to absolute hell. I'm too tired to even be mad about it, but also way too broke to even think about replacing it. I just. I don't have the funds to replace it. I don't.

All in all, Murphy's Law is real, Salem is still gone, and my finances are in absolute shambles so here is to hoping I at least make rent. And that Salem comes home before her birthday on March 4th. Bc mentally? I'm not doing good, y'all.

I wish that I had good news for you guys and I'm so sorry that I don't.

Still no good news - the rest of this is still painfully true. Salem is still missing and today makes 3 weeks. And rent is due next week along with the rest of the bills. Yay ;')

You guys know what Murpheys law is? That is now. That is my currently.

And if the three men that have used Salem's missing poster to get my number and hit on me could, ever so unkindly, fucking not, that would be fantastic.

Was just informed by my mom that I do in fact have ADHD and the reason I thought I didn’t was because ever since I was seven whenever I got super energetic my mom would have me go chop wood so now when I’m feeling The ADHD I go chop wood and I thought it was just some sort of routine I started when I was little and wanted to blow off steam

I’d also like to point out that my sister has a really hard time staying present (I can’t remember the term because we’ve always called it Tethered at my house) and whenever she’s feeling Untethered my mom has her knead bread and make syrup because they’re repetitive and easy things to do that ground her

Now that I’m thinking about it- my brother has days where he doesn’t talk and doesn’t eat unless he’s prompted, and on those days my mom sits him down in the fish pond in the backyard and plays Mozart and because he’s so used to that being his wake up he always comes back in after like an hour rambling about random things

Oh yeah and when it rains my mom has a required hour where we all have to go outside and run around and whoever finds the most worms for the garden wins and then we go inside and my mom makes us tea and we watch Studio Ghibli movies
