PETA Endorses Ben's Chili Bowl!

Ben’s Chili Bowl is known for their half-smokes and chili dogs, but the famous D.C. institution also serves their vegetarian customers.

With Ben’s menu items like a veggie burger topped with meat-free chili, they have folks talking while eating. PETA, whose motto is “animals are not ours to eat,” endorsed Ben’s as the Best of Reagan Award. The plaque will hang on the wall of Ben’s Chili Bowl’s newest located at Reagan National Airport.

“Animal-friendly and health-conscious travelers know that they can find a hearty, tasty, cruelty-free meal,” says PETA president Ingrid Newkirk.

When visiting the Nation’s Capitol, before you visit the monuments, stop by Ben’s Chili Bowl at Reagan National Airport!

Congratulations to @benschilibowl for being awarded the first annual “Best of Reagan Award” by #PETA for your delicious animal-friendly and health-conscious menu options. Many of the founding owners at Ben’s have actually been vegetarians for years, so that is why they were so happy to receive this award out of all the restaurants at DCA for the first year of it’s inception.  Ben’s DCA location has only been open a week, and you can see they’re off to a great start! But, make sure to allow time before you board your flight to stand in a Ben's Chili Bowl line!
