Aletheia is best known as the personification of sincerity and unhidden truth. It’s also a concept used to describe a fully disclosed fact of reality. So, it’s not quite “truth” as we know it, but rather than just the existence of truth, it is the moment when that truth is opened up and shared.
Here, Aletheia is likely a blend of the goddess and the Amaurotine who shares her name. She feels a connection to Zagreus due to his drive of seeking the truth, and finds his endless curiosity and wanderlust endearing as it reminds her of herself. Aletheia’s boons are similar to Hermes, but with more of a “freedom of movement” aspect rather than speed, and focuses on healing instead of obols.
