she is the 𝙇𝙄𝙂𝙃𝙏 of day   /   the sun that 𝙍𝙄𝙎𝙀𝙎 when the moon sets.  a glimmer of 𝘏𝘖𝘗𝘌 in his darkest of days.  the press of her lips to his forehead , fleeting as it may be ,  dispels the fog of his mind and unknits his furrowed brows.  a smile begins to widen at the edge of his features -------- and he all but forgets for the briefest of moments ,  the carnage that lies in wait for him once he returns to headquarters so very far away from the slums ,  away from the small flower bed in the church. away from her.  the sigh that falls from his lips is one that denotes a sense of bittersweetness; for he longs for the days he could just simply stay here ,  and help tend to the garden she so beloved.  perhaps ... the future would be so kind as to let him rest his war - weary bones in the comfort of her arms.  until then,  he would continue to savor these sweet moments.  ❝     i think you owe me one more for working hard and watering allllll these flowers today.     ❞
