WishesĀ on the Wind
They made an odd little pair, he and Lillian. Looking at her now, with her features complimented by the pure look of awe and excitement, he wonders how in the world she finds interest in conversing, let alone accompanying, a strange age-old man like him. He with a wrapped headgear with golden embellishments, ancient symbols marked in his face, and clothes that didnāt fit with this time. The more he thought about it, the more he strays from finding an answer. Perhaps, she was just as curious as he was. And hopefully, as interested in their exchange of words.
Iām joking. This is merely a prop, weāre travelling by foot. He canāt do it. He canāt possibly break the joy in her eyes, even with a joke. Instead, he lightly laughs and gives her a nod before escorting her in the airship.Ā āSelphia is a hovering island, you see. We use these quite open to get around.ā And I am thankfully acquainted with generous people that can lend this service.Ā āSo yes.: He pauses and turns to her with a sly smile. āWe are going to fly.āĀ
The womanās eyes of pure lilac failed to stray from anything but the familiar man and the strange vessel, both excited to see her dear friend and eager to observe the new craft her. It was certainly nice to see the man, and such a gesture, such a spectacular, beautiful ship- It left the woman in awe, mind traveling through vibrant meadows of the same thoughts of astonishment as when she first met the man. The same wondrous, curiosity infused questions spiraling in the depths of her mind.
Lillian herself displayed, mentally, many ages. In an instant she could mimic the words of an intelligent old woman, to the excited eyes of a child, as though her age often mirrored her surroundings. Childlike demeanor, with an animated disposition, the woman listened in astonishment.Ā āA floating island? My, it sounds wonderful!ā
āShall we be off, then?Ā āŖā
