Hey! I LOVE your blog! How do you charge up? What do you do?
Hello! Thank you for the love. It's always wonderful to meet another machinekin.
I'mĀ afraidĀ I'm not sure of how to answer your question, though. Could you clarify a little bit?
Total Recall by ~Shakshin
I saw your post about identifying with video game characters and wanted to reply although I don't have any otherkin things on my blog (hence anon). As a leopard therian I expected to identify strongly with the Khajiits in Skyrim. But I don't like the way their portrayed, their bodies are too jerky, if that makes sense. Not the right shape, not me. Instead I find myself having a near obsession with argonians. Theres something about that is so right about them.*shrugs* the quirks of being otherkin
Thank you so much for your reply, friend!
I must admit that I haven't played skyrim, but I'm glad you found a race that's comfortable for you to play. Quirks indeed!
This is Zer0, the playable assassin class character from the upcoming game Borderlands 2. While I'm excited for the game itself, I'm very much looking forward to playing as this character.
Although they more than likely aren't mechanical-- though they certainly aren't human, as they only have four fingers-- I find that playing as silent characters that have face screens instead of faces and have appearances similar to what mine should be helps soothe some dysphoria considerably. Another example of this is the Anon character from Tron Evolution, though that was a bit of a rubbish game.Ā
Anyone else care to share video game characters or experiences that you've identified with strongly because of your nonhuman nature?
Hello to friends on the internet. While I am not new here, I thought I may find friends!
Iāve heard many things about the āotherkinā and etc groups, but I thought I may poke into them? Though what I feel like may not really match up⦠I am just seeking others that may understand or help.
So, anyone out there that would be so kind as to give me a ping?
Hello there. I saw this in the machinekin tag, and thought I ought to say hi. I'd be more than happy to chat or answer any questions you might have. Unfortunately, this is a side blog and I cannot send you an ask under this account, but I do hope that you get in touch.
I donāt know if Iām glad that there isnāt any trolling of machinekin happening now, or upset that machine/inanimate kin have basically gone invisible again.
Hi, we still exist. Iām not a troll blog like buskin or that teakettle one. I just havenāt been posting for personal reasons. :/
Pinkshovel loves you anyway.
While I'm incredibly thankful for the lack of belligerence in the machinekin tag, I also hope that everyone else is doing alright. It's a little saddening that we have such a quiet tag.
I love the very concept of science fiction. Sci-fi literature, in particular, has always felt familiar and comfortable to me.
No matter how outlandish or fantastical the ideas, they always have the tiniest of threads that connect back to the present reality. Now, not only do artists and writers predict the future, they are also influencing it. A self-fulfilling prophecy.
I find that remarkable. What other science fiction tropes may eventually leave the fiction aspect behind altogether?
