yup, it’s that time of year, which means it’s time for me to promo the spookiest, eeriest, and witchiest pieces I’ve made. These earrings make me think of vampires, but are actually filed in my head as “the Night Circus earrings”, because the color scheme reminds me of the book by Erin Morgenstern. It’s about a mysterious, magical circus that appears overnight, vanishes just as suddenly, and is all in black and white. Its most loyal fans call themselves rêveurs (dreamers), and visit the circus dressed in black and white with a touch of red.

Doesn’t that conjure up a wonderfully mysterious and fascinating feeling? Quite appropriate for the season, and I hope my pieces can capture a touch of that spirit.

Green Sea Glass Hoop Earrings

One of the pieces I just listed in my etsy shop. I’m really proud of how they turned out! Digging through my stock of sea glass, I found a bunch of greens and blues I’ve been hoarding. They’re just too small for the elaborate, swirling designs such pretty colors deserve…but they’re also too pretty to hoard forever! So I’ve been forcing myself to get creative and make pieces like these, using wire embellishments around the sea glass, not just wrapping it. Plus copper and green is such a gorgeous combination!

White Sea Glass Moon Earrings

When I find sea glass pieces like these, that are unusual shape, I’m always a little nervous. As soon as I pick them up I think “I’m going to want to do something special with this one.” And I’m especially excited when I find a matching pair like this!

I love to create wrapping that plays on the natural curves and bumps of the sea glass, and if I can’t think of one, I’ll feel like I’ve wasted them. I have some pieces that I’ve been hoarding for a long time because I can’t come up with a design that feels worthy!
