Within the infinity castle..

A little demon child toddles about the wooden floor of the castle corridors.

adorned in her Sakura patterned kimono and tabi socks. The pink haired imp had a curious smile upon her porcelain face. She was bored..

Wanting to find someone to play with..

Kirin turned a corner stumbling into another demon.. the tot fell down looking up at the lower moon..

" i--.. I'm sorry..-!? " the little one bows to show him respect

The demon had been walking aimlessly in the castle. He was absorbed in his thoughts, particularly of that new steam engine in the last town he had visited to hunt. He hadn't had the time to observe it though, as the sun was soon rising, leading him to come here.

There was not much to do at the moment but bide his time until the sun set again. When the girl bumps into him, his 'train' of thought is disrupted.

He looks down at her, his expression unclear. Her bow brings a smile to his face. He hasn't seen a demon quite so young in some time.

"Where are you headed in such a hurry?"

The imp giggles while she was gently twirled she smiled playfully listening to the warning of playing about the corridors of muzans infinity castle.

" Akaza and I run around here all the time~ " she Sassed stumbling to a halt as she looked up at Enmu her lavender hues fixated upon his own.

" I'd like to hide.. so you'll be the seeker~ ackiiheehee~ " kirin giggles sweetly

Of course an Upper Moon would feel free to do as they wished in the master's castle! The thought makes him respect his superiors more! Enmu catches himself smiling to himself before he is reminded of the girl. He must maintain composure for the time being, and so his attention is directed back towards the young demon.

With a playful flourish, he releases Kirin's hand. "How does a count to 100 sound?" he asks.

Whatever; it's fine! Don't worry about something that probably won't happen, right?

"Enmu," She repeats quietly to herself, storing his name. For whatever reason she doesn't know, because she won't see him again after he willingly leaves.

"I'm Mimi," She finally introduces, "Mimi Uzui. No fancy title or anything like you." Because the last name should be enough~.

Mimi scoots a little closer to Enmu, eying him to see if he's still wet or dirty or hurt or something of the sort. "I'm sorry I threw you out and yelled at you earlier... That was mean."

Ugh, she's making a bad choice being all nice to him! She's never really liked being too nice and friendly with people she doesn't know (She's gotta be scary but in a cute way!). Enmu pretty much says he won't betray her or anything, but she's still worried anyway and she can't stop! This is terrible and awful. Hopefully it doesn't happen. This girl will probably die if it does.

He turns her name over in his mind. It's not often a demon keeps their family name, even less for one to take a new surname. There's a vague recognition of the name, a feeling it was involved in a dream he gave one of his victims. He might need to follow that train of thought at a later time.

Receiving an apology from a fellow demon is a rare occurrence, an occurrence he relishes. An apology is a mark of respect to those above you, as such words wouldn't be wasted on a being that is below you. Well, that is how it is typically seen but Enmu's own interests had him "wasting" words often. Still, he enjoys having his higher rank affirmed.

"Let's call it water under the bridge, Mimi-chan," he says with a smile. In a delayed reaction, his eyes widen at his own words. "Ah," the demon snickers to himself at his own incidental joke, "Pardon me."

we all know how this story goes. when it began, you were almost the perfect hero, but almost is never enough. you lacked introspection, or you were too stubborn or vengeful or reckless - as reckless as the world that helped to ruin you. you were not perfect, and that's okay. we knew the story ended in blood and we watched it anyway. we knew you would die in the end and we still couldn't help but love you, just a little bit. at the very least, you are more human than a hero could ever be.

The little ones origami sculpture faded to fragments of paper while she flinched at Enmu upbruptly standing up right. Kirin looked up observing the etched tattoos upon his knuckles they read dream..

" ooh~ I have markings too see~ " she gently moves the sides of her short messy bob haircut that was laying against the side of her face as she had Sakura Blossom in full bloom upon the apples of her cheeks.

" Your Lower One~ woah.. that's really cool..~ Akaza said I might become an Upper moon one day~ " the tot giggles happily

Markings on a demon weren't rare. Even so, the girl's flowered cheeks were adorable. Maybe that's why the Upper Moons had taken a liking to her, for her cute and harmless appearance.

"Becoming a Moon takes hard work. If you do climb the ranks, you'll have to surpass me," he says coldly. His voice is stern but lightens up when he adds, "I'll be waiting for the day you can challenge my place." He does not believe that day will ever come, but he keeps that part to himself.

Enmu's arms fall to his sides as a relaxed smile spreads across his face. "Come, is there something you have in mind while we wait for sunset? There's bound to be something to do within these endless halls." He extends a hand for Kirin to hold.

The little one listened to him speak coldy. It was the harsh reality..

She smirks at him closing her eyes.

" Akaza's teaching me how to fight~! " she giggled warning the lower moon..

How bold of the tot.. but...

For now there was no chance she would be able to ursurp him.. not for along time.. it would be suicide to do so. Kirin understands the struggle of what being in a fight is like especially when she's outside claiming her food over other lower Demons.

Her little clawed hand gently reached upward to hold enmu's hand..

" um.. I'd like to play.. hide n' seek or tag..? " she smiles sweetly

He smiles, ignoring her playful warning. It means nothing to him.

Ah, children's games. It takes him a moment to recall the rules, having not entertained such activities in a long time. Enmu nods in agreement, "That sounds splendid, though it might not be best to run wild across the master's floors." He twirls Kirin around with his hand as he thinks.

"Would you like to be the seeker, or shall I?"

The little one raised herself from bowing as she sat upon her knees. Kirin-chan blinks a few times while pondering what to say to the lower moon..

" I-im..-?! Trying to find Akaza... We were Supposed to be going outside to catch fireflies..." the tot didn't know it was sunny out sense she had been asleep for a while..

The youngling huffs crossing her arms...

"One of the Upper Moons? You must be favored for one to be so friendly with you."

He keeps his voice calm for the young demon. For a demon of presumably no status to spend time with the upper ranks, she must be well-liked or important. He makes a mental note to not cause too much trouble for her.

He tries to recall when the last time he saw Akaza was, but truthfully he had not. He had been too involved in his thoughts while walking the endless pathways, and he would not speak to a higher rank without one asking him to.

He bends down to be eye-level with the girl and shakes his head. "I'm sorry, I haven't seen him," he says. He tilts his head and asks, "Why are you going out for fireflies in the middle of the day? Both of you would surely burn up!"

The imp blinks a few times listening to lower ones words.

Burn.. up..-?!

" n'aaw-!? It's daytime..-! " she growls pouting while looking down at the floor.

Kirin-chan must have slept for far to long. The little one looked up as she sighs disappointingly.

" Oh well.. I guess I don't know what to do now..- I would visit Douma but he probably has a cult meeting to attend to.. " she twiddled her thumbs as her lavender hues observed Enmu.

Losing track of time seems plausible in the infinity castle. After all, it is infinite, meaning you could easily lose track of where you were and how long you were there if you spent long enough inside it.

This must have been something the girl was looking forward to. Once again her involvement with the upper moons surprises him, but he does not let it show. The girl is bored, and since he has nothing better to do he takes it upon himself to accompany the young demon for the time being.

"There are some hours before the sun sets. Perhaps the two of us can find something to pass the time?"

The imp listened to Enmu speak while she pondered to either stay where she was or to spend a few hours killing time with the sleep paralysis demon.

" Okay.. I guess we can find something to do..? " kirin spoke hushed with a small fanged smile.

" My.. Names Kirin.. I'm the Sakura origami demon.. " as she spoke she gently raised her hands moving them to create anything out of ornate origami it was her blood demon art afterall.

He eyes widen as he watches the paper craft spring from her fingertips. It was fascinating, something he had not seen before. He finds himself wondering of what use it might be in battle or a hunt.

With a flourish, he stands upright and brings his left hand to his heart. "Where are my manners? I am Enmu of the Lower Moons," he says. On his hand the character for 'dream' is etched onto his knuckles. A mouth sprouts from it, grinning at Kirin.

"Number 1, might I add. I will always be grateful to the master for that," he brags. It's simply a show of power to the younger demon. It's always fun to see the look on another's face when he shows off.

Wait, there's a possibility Enmu could do the hand thing before he was given the extra blood. I just need to decide if he was or not.
