“oy, you’ve got to be kiddin’ me.” meg sighed heavily, throwing herself on the chair, hand rubbing her forehead rapidly. flo’s was pretty dead at three in the afternoon–after all, the kids were out on holiday so the after school crowd was few and far between. but, nonetheless, it was meg’s favorite place to go and get a shake. the less people the better.
work was really being something of a devil, here recently; between the ever present guilt that attached itself to her every action at the company, to the way the case itself seemed to be impenetrable, it felt like meg was going to lose. not a new experience for her, to say the least, but one that certainly doesn’t feel very good. no matter how familiar you are.
so, she had come to escape that wretched office, maybe breathe some new life into her thoughts on the client–but mostly to just get away. as she heard her name being called, she lurched herself forward, ready to grab and go, when she felt herself barrel right into someone else–and drop her phone, glass shattering everywhere. “Oof,” She groaned, falling to her knees immediately. “this day cannot get any worse.” meg’s eyes traveled back up and she furrowed her brows in a faint look of concern. “you ok? hopefully better than the phone fared.” ( @dreamlightstart )
