Dream would let Nightmare physically abuse him for “stress relief” or just in general

Nightmare always feels a nagging guilt after, but Dream never fully catches on to why, not seeing a reason to feel bad for hurting him.

Dream however, does understand to hide injuries, especially ones caused by others. The internal reasoning is along the lines of “it’s a sign of weakness/failure” and “it makes me ugly/undesirable”.

I’m sorry but Canon ish Nightmare is a wife beater to me. Like he would not be gentle on someone who’s a total pushover for him.
