My Starbucks barista misheard my name today and put Pietro on my label, I just got back from Chile so my accent is probably a little spicier than it usually is and I didn’t notice until I got outside because they just handed it to me, I feel like nobody is brave enough to drink my order anyway, my girlfriend calls it death juice but I’ve been feeling silly about it all afternoon. Has anyone ever got your name wrong and did you have the heart to correct them over it? Misheard song lyrics are always a personal favorite too! / @cityofdreamsstarters
My name is Colton so I don’t really have that problem. But a misheard song lyric, I do have! I was with my grandma and mom at an Applebee’s when I was about 12, 13 years old. She was visiting us and insisted on helping to buy my hockey gear for the upcoming season. We took a break for lunch and while we were sitting there, the Beatles song “Ticket to Ride” came on. All of a sudden, Grandma leaned toward my mom and I and said, “She’s got a chicken to ride?! What kind of song is this?!” Mom and I were laughing so hard we could barely breathe.
