Hello! I was going through your jugenea tag and saw your post about how they would've been perfect in dirty dancing. They really would have! But I wanted to know if you've ever seen Marjorie Morningstar? Bc some things say dirty dancing is based off that (which makes sense). Just thought it was funny that you think jugenea would have be perfect for johnny and baby, and gene's character in Marjorie was what johnny is based off of.
Yes, I’ve seen Marjorie Morningstar. As far as I remember Dirty Dancing was based on Eleanor Bergsteins own experiences as a young woman. But it’s definitely a possibility that they took some inspiration from Marjorie Morningstar... I do see some resemblances between the two movies. I prefer Johnny over Noel though as a character (not by any fault of Gene).

“You know before I left Boston, men had just flown to the moon. I saw pictures. Photographs. It was rocky and barren, and no life at all. It was beautiful.”
Gregory Peck
She had become adept at putting unpleasant thoughts out of her mind these days. She had learned to say, “I won’t think of this or that bothersome thought now. I’ll think about it tomorrow.” Generally when tomorrow came, the thought either did not occur at all or it was so attenuated by the delay it was not very troublesome.
