Fanmob Idea - Frost Blaze
The Frost Blaze is a passive mob with an AI similar to a Zombie Pigman. It will not attack or purposefully come closer to the player. It is invisible except for a small tell-tale dot of bright concentrated light.
Although the Frost Blaze is passive, players are not advised to come within 8 blocks of it. > If a player comes within 8 blocks of the Frost Blaze, the player has entered its Cold Zone (roughly within the cyan line above). The screen will grow slightly blue-tinged and the player will begin taking damage at a rate of one point per second (which is half a heart per second, similar to that taken when in contact with a cactus but without armor damage). > If a player comes within 1 block of the Frost Blaze, they exit the Cold Zone and enter the concentrated Heat Zone (roughly within the red line above). The player will catch fire and take damage at four points per half second (two hearts per half second) which is the same as contact with lava. (However, stepping away from the 1 Heat Zone and back into the Cold Zone's range will extinguish the fire just as jumping into water does)
In addition to how it affects the player, all fires are put out if the Frost Blaze comes close enough that they fall into the Cold Zone (Torches remain unaffected)
If the Frost Blaze is hit by the player or a projectile fired by the player, it becomes visible (though somewhat transparent), and aggressive. > Hitting a Frost Blaze only causes the one that took damage to become aggressive. Using an indirect method to harm them (such as dumping water which damages them at the same rate as normal blazes are damaged) does not cause them to become aggressive. > The Heat Zone expands to encompass three blocks around the Frost Blaze, as is now marked by a slightly less bright ring of light, and the damage taken for entering that zone remains equal to that of Lava. > The Cold Zone remains set at 8 blocks around the Frost Blaze, but the damage taken by entering it doubles (two points, or a full heart per second, equal to that of drowning). > If the player is in the Cold Zone when the Frost Blaze is aggressive, the player will move at a speed similar to walking on soulsand. Player speed is unaffected by the Cold Zone when the Frost Blaze is passive. > The Frost Blaze will fire white-colored fireballs that do 1 point more damage (one half a heart) more damage than a regular blaze's fireball regardless of difficulty setting. They will also pursue the player with the same AI as a regular blaze. > The Frost Blaze cannot fire fireballs very frequently, it is limited to one fireball every three seconds. Most damage dealt by the Frost Blaze is through proximity, making the most efficient way to fight them archery or other projectiles. > Unlike a regular blaze, a Frost Blaze does not show fire or smoke after becoming aggressive. > The Frost Blaze is incredibly rare, and only occurs when a regular blaze takes explosion damage (ghast fireball, creeper, or tnt) or when a regular blaze passes through a nether portal and into the overworld. > Frost Blazes are blue, somewhat transparent, and are larger than normal blazes.

IDEA BEHIND THE FROST BLAZE - AND THE REASON FOR IT'S NAME:
It occurred to me at some point that cold doesn't really exist, in the same way that shadow does not really exist. Rather, both of those things are an absence. Cold is the absence of heat in the same way that shadow is the absence of light.
The Frost Blaze creates an extreme cold all around it, purely because it pulls all heat into itself, leaching it from the land (or the players) around it - which is also why coming close enough does extreme heat damage.
It's overpowered because it's the blaze version of the charged creeper, and because it comes from the nether. So... stronger than usual, and crazy strong (like the pigmen when they swarm on you) just because.
As for why they're invisible until aggressive? Good question. Not really sure... because it sounded cool to me? To tempt the player to hit it?
