The Journey

It’s always nice to come back and check on where my journey officially started. For some reason, my blog won’t really work, but I’m trying to scroll through it as much as possible for the memories, the smiles, and more inspiration. For that, I thank you Tumblr for giving me this journey. Though it’s not the same as it once was, I’m so grateful for being able to have that past journey. Trying to create healthy habits.

Good afternoon to all the people that cross paths with my post. It has certainly been a while, though, I wanted to refrain the “I’m Back!!” title. I must have said this several times from the time I started this blog from 2011. As I sit behind the front desk of my job, relieving the receptionist for lunch, I have 16 minutes to pour my thoughts. This also includes all the interruptions, so let’s say 12 minutes, here goes.

Today is Thursday, February 11th and I am beyond excited for this end this week. There are so many good things to come; the long weekend, pay day, short week, and more money.

Where do I begin? I have a dilemma, though it has been around a good portion of my life... my weight. I haven’t written much since graduating college almost three years ago. Since then, I have plopped myself down at a decent paying desk job. In those years, I have also gained over 60 pounds and it has put me into a bad place. I find myself saying each year, “This year I’m going to lose it all,” but each year I gain more. Now that I am 22, turning 23 in October, I am over it. I want a better life for myself and I want to live a healthier life.

With only two minutes left to spare, I hope that those who have read this will enjoy. I’m writing today, because I am “trying to create a better life,” as stated in the title. Blogging and writing about my journey, not only keeps me accountable, but also brings me to a better place. It brings me peace. Here is to writing more often and sharing my journey again with you guys.

Note: During the writing of this piece, I drank two cups of water! Yeah me.
