1971 ad for the dreamweapon portfolio issue of aspen multi-media magazine
gerard malanga reading two poems by lou reed during a guest lecture at UCLA in 1966.
the first poem is entitled "everyone must have an operation". the second is "the people just have to die for the music," which would later be published in intransit #4: the andy warhol-gerard malanga monster issue, in 1968. parts of it initially appeared in an essay written by reed for aspen no. 3, in 1966.
the beginning of the second poem is as follows:
