@why-animals-do-the-thing what the heck?
This is priceless. Fur is a great nest-building material. Normally, birds get it from snags on branches or (maybe, I’m not sure) dead animals. I know some people who actually put out a bird-feeder full of hair for the birds after they brush out their dog, specifically so that it can be turned into nesting material.
This is a very brave birb who has learned where it comes from and just decided to go get some from the source, and a dog who is probably too asleep to care. Â
@sylphee
He bird is probably just getting the underfur that sheds and the stuff that would just end up in the brush anyways
That’s a collie- their superpower is shedding. You honestly really can’t keep one WITHOUT going to the groomers unless you want to spend your whole life brushing them, their undercoats literally fall away in chunks and then the undercoat gets stuck in the wiry long hairs and tangles and basically is the biggest pain in the ass ever
this bird is doing the dog a favor he can probably get his beak right in there to get at the undercoat
helpful birb
Nature’s personal groomer. Now if only I could find nature’s bartender, I’d be set.

Midnight thoughts...
Baby birds learn to fly by trying… and failing. It is the struggle that gives them the ability and strength to fly.
So continue to struggle, continue to get stronger, and one day; You will soar.
The human body is 70% water so we’re basically cucumbers with anxiety.

someone should come up with something good for me to crochet so I have a good excuse to keep avoiding my responsibilities
Make me a cute crochet wolf! :3 :P
