i drew this because i just wanted to show a bit more how depression can affect your life. i tried to show how mae is just tired (rolled eyes, hand hanging from the bed) but at rhe same time she is comforted by the feeling of ignoring people so she doesnt have to worry about everything and everyone (opened laptop on the floor, but its not so close to her which means she havent used it lately). also clothes laying on the floor and dripping cup of soda shows the state that she has been in lately

i think the biggest issue with ashwrons dynamic is that they have this perception of the other person ever since the server, and even though theyve both had so much development since then in personality, goals, etc, they still latch onto that. ewrons focused on the idea of killing everyone with ash. but the picture of ash as this strong, cold (to everyone but him??) supreme leader that he has in his head crumbled as ash couldnt help but become attached to his family.

another issue is that they're both fucking terrrriiiifieeeddd of vulnerability, and the way they show that clashes with each other so bad. ewron shows it in the sense he's annoying as fuck and bothers those he loves because he wants to matter, even if its negatively, while ash miserably fails at pretending he doesnt care. twt oomf said ewron needs validation and words of affirmation but ash cant even really give that to him because hes been taught that love is bad/is afraid of it. (despite also craving love/validation/words of affirmation because everything with him is an internal conflict)

theyre so perfect for eachother while also being horrible for eachother at the same time. them being soulmates makes more than enough sense actually. a match made in hell
