the locked tomb is such a special series because where else are you going to find a character like harrowhark nonagesimus. she's a repressed goth camp mean lesbian space nun necrophiliac immortal teenage saint. she's a war crime and the greatest necromancer of her generation and she's bad at making soup. she's the deadpan depressed leader of a death cult and she fell for a horny jock who makes "your mom" jokes at every opportunity. she tried to have sex with a hallucination of a 10,000 year old corpse. she's a strict conformist to liturgical tradition and also a heretic who almost killed god when she was ten. should i continue

In the original draft of Gideon, Harrow doesn’t say ‘Oh, I have hurt your heart,' she says ‘Oh, I have rustled your jimmies.' She says that purely because that’s what my brain thrust into my hand and I liked the way it sounded. Carl said, ‘You can’t put that in a novel’ and suggested ‘hurt your feelings.' I compromised and we ended up with ‘hurt your heart.'

Luz and Amity as harpies for a kofi! It was fun trying to decide the designs and colors for these (Eda’s uses her clothing colors for skin/feather tone but I decided that didn’t really work for Luz, did work for Amity tho so!)
