Bladerunner 2049. Wow! So impressive...one of the most beautiful films to look at every scene seems like a work of art...surely Roger Deakins will win #bestcinematography for 2018 #oscars...Gosling and Ford are outstanding but the supporting cast holds their own...and what masterful direction from Denis Villanueva...it’s been 3 days since I’ve seen it and I can’t stop thinking about it. I feel like there are many hidden levels to this film...memories being a strong theme. My favorite film of the year next to Dunkirk and Baby Driver...I really wish more people had seen this movie and in #IMAX oh and let’s not forget about @hanszimmer and his amazing score! Listening on repeat daily...#bestpicturenomination hopefully #bestsupportingactor for Ford and give Roger the much deserved Oscar. #fergusonfilmfiend

In The Mood For Love. A beautiful captivating film by the master auteur Wong Kar-Wai. This movie will make you fall in love with cinema. When I first saw this in theaters in 2000 I felt as if I were watching a movie for the first time. Two neighbors in Hong Kong start a friendship realizing that their significant others are having an affair. This film is the perfect example of slow motion, mood and atmosphere. Tony Chueng and Maggie Chueng are exceptional. It is one of the sexiest films ever. The music is perfecto. Should've been nominated for a number of #oscars a few years later there was an excellent companion piece or loose sequel called 2046. Again #inthemoodforlove one of my all time favorites, I watch once a year at least. @criterioncollection has a wonderful edition of this film with plenty of extras #toptenfilms #toptencriterions #beautifulfilm #fergusonfilmfiend #cinema #cinematography #filmlove #filmfiend "It is a restless moment. Seems pretty apropos...considering our current relationship with #northkorea. However this movie is amazing!! Watch it love it...you will be surprised when you realize it's. I feel very strong about this amazing movie! Watched it in college during a 4 movie marathon! This was the last movie that night and took us into the 8am hour with a surprise cold rain as we bid adieu...I love the performance of @johncameronmitchell and the cast kills overall! The music is amazing and perfect! "I drink your milkshake" One of the great movies in the last 20 years... from the masterful Paul Thomas Anderson, IMHO can do no wrong (Junon and Inherent Vice were amazing to me), with amazing cinematography by Robert Elswit that won out the Oscar against the great Roger Deakins which speaks volumes at how gorgeous this movie is. Daniel Day-Lewis puts on one of the greatest performances I've seen...there are so many amazing moments and this is truly an American masterpiece. Not a father son kind of movie but I've tried to get my dad (who is nothing like this man) to watch this film. "Here let me give you one of my cards" Harvey a 6 foot invisible rabbit (pooka?) only Elwood P. Dowd, a wealthy drunk, can see, his sister tries to have Elwood put into an asylum and let the confusion and hilarity ensue. One of my top 10 favorite comedies. My father purchased this and Elmer Gantry (another amazing classic more on the drama side though) and we wore out those VHS tapes. Wonderful film and one of Jimmy Stewart's finest performances along with his invisible rabbit Harvey delivering a memorable performance not seen till #donniedarko arrives half a century later. #Harvey #pooka #jimmystewart #hophophop #blackandwhite #1950
