What's an easy cool summer drink that I can make in bulk for BBQ's and such?

I like to make pitchers of margaritas with whatever tequila I have, triple sec, fresh like and orange juice, and some watermelon pucker liqueur. Throw in some fresh cubes of watermelon and lime wedges with some ice. Refreshing and easy! Hope this helped!!

Szarlotka

1 1/2 oz ZU vodka, or chamomile-infused vodka

unfiltered apple juice

Pour vodka into a highball glass over ice. Add apple juice to taste.

Americano

1 1/2 oz Campari

1 1/2 oz sweet vermouth

soda water

orange garnish

Fill a highball glass with ice. Add campari and vermouth, and top generously with soda, taking care to not exceed a 1:1:2 ratio. Garnish with an orange slice.

Foggy Dew

1 1/2 oz Irish whiskey

1 oz Jamaican rum

1 oz Pedro Ximenez sherry

1 1/2 oz chilled half and half

1/2 oz vanilla simple syrup

1 large egg

ice

pinch of freshly grated nutmeg, for garnish

In a cocktail shaker, combine all ingredients except ice and nutmeg, and shake vigorously. Fill the shaker with ice and shake again. Strain into a chilled mug or glass. Garnish with fresh nutmeg.

Red Sangria

2 oranges, thinly sliced

1 lemon, thinly sliced

1 lime, thinly sliced

4 c fresh firm fruits, chopped

1 gallon full-bodied dry red-wine such as Cabernet Sauvignon

1 1/2 to 2 c orange liqueur

1 1/2 c Presidente brandy

2 bunches lemon verbena, washed and stemmed

fresh soft fruits, chopped

club soda, champagne, or sparkling wine

Combine citrus slices and other firm fruits in a large, nonreactive container. Add wine, liqueur, brandy, and lemon verbena. Cover and refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve, put some soft fruits into each wine glass and fill two-thirds full with the sangria. Top off with a splash of club soda.

Pomegranate Whiskey Sour

ice

1 whole lemon, plus additional for slices

2 tsp sugar

2 tbsp pomegranate juice

2 shots Scotch whiskey

12 oz sprite

Add ice cubes to 2 old fashioned glasses. Cut lemon in half, juice each half and pour into glasses. Add 1 tsp sugar, 1 tbsp pomegranate juice, and one shot Scotch to each glass. Top with soda, stirring well. Garnish with lemon slices.

Tom and Jerry

boiling water

1 tbsp Tom and Jerry batter

1 oz Cognac

1 oz dark rum

whole milk, hot

nutmeg

clove

allspice

Rinse a small coffee mug with boiling water to warm it. Discard the water. Add the batter, cognac, and rum to the cup and fill with hot milk. Garnish with a mixture of 2 parts ground nutmeg to 1 part each ground clove and ground allspice. 

Tom and Jerry batter

12 eggs, separated

1 tsp cream of tartar

2 lb sugar

2 oz dark Jamacian rum

1 tsp vanilla

In a nonreactive bowl, whip the egg whites with the cream of tartar until they form stiff peaks. In a separate bowl, beat the yolks with the sugar, rum, and vanilla. When it is completely liquid, fold it into the whites

Kiwi Colada Pops

5 oz can pineapple juice

1 tbsp cream of coconut

2 oz coconut rum

1-2 kiwis, peeled and sliced

In a small bowl, mix juice, cream of coconut, and rum. Pour into molds, filling halfway. Place 2 slices of kiwi in each mold against opposite sides. Fill the rest of the way with the juice mixture. Insert sticks between the fruit. Freeze 3 hours, or until solid.

White Russian Milkshake

1 c ice

1/2 c coffee ice cream, softened

1/4 c milk

2 oz kahlua

1 oz vodka

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Cover and pulse on and off until the mixture begins to swirl evenly. Blend on high for 20 seconds, or until completely smooth. Top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.

Blood and Glory

2 oz blood orange juice

4 oz vodka

3 oz Cointreau

1 oz lime juice

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into 2 chilled martini glasses.

Nutella Melt

4 c whole milk

1/4 c nutella

pinch salt

6 oz Frangelico

1 c heavy cream, chilled

1/4 c confectioner's sugar

2 tsp instant espresso powder

1/4 c toasted hazelnuts, chopped, for garnish

toasted coconut flakes, for garnish

Bring the milk, nutella, and salt to a simmer in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring until nutella is completely dissolved. Taste for chocolate flavor and add more nutella if desired. Stir in Frangelico and remove from heat. Whip the heavy cream together with the confectioner's sugar and espresso powder until soft peaks have formed. Ladle into warmed cups and top with a big spoonful of whipped cream. Garnish with the chopped hazlenuts and coconut flakes.

Pimm's Cup

2 oz fresh lemon juice

1/2 to 1 oz simple syrup

1 1/2 oz of Pimm's No. 1 Cup

club soda

cucumber spear

mint

lemon

orange

strawberries

Combine lemon juice and simple syrup to make lemonade. Fill a tall glass with ice. Add Pimm's and lemonade and top off with soda. Stir to mix. Garnish with cucumbers, citrus, and strawberries.

Bourbon Cherry Cooler

2 oz bourbon

1/2 oz Aperol

1 oz lemon juice

3/4 oz simple syrup

2 oz sparkling water

8 cherries

De-stem and pit cherries. Place them in a chaker. Combine with the simple syrup and muddle until the cherries are thoroughly crushed. Add the lemon juice, Aperol, and bourbon. Fill your shaker with ice and shake for 10 seconds. Strain into a tall glass over new ice and top with sparkling water. Add a straw and sprig of fresh mint.

Pirate Jenny

1 oz Sorel

1 oz Velvet Falernum

1 1/2 oz aged dark or golden rum

1/2 oz fresh lime juice

1 dash bitters

Fill rocks glass with large ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Stir Well. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Watermelon Lemonade

1 small seedless watermelon

4 bottles corona

1/2 c cucumber vodka

1 container frozen pink lemonade concentrate, thawed

Cut the watermelon in pieces and reserve some if you want to use it as a garnish. Transfer the watermelon to a blender and blend until it is liquid. Strain the blended watermelon over a bowl to catch the liquid. Repeat the process until you have 4 c watermelon juice. In a large pitcher, combine all the ingredients. If you would like to make this ahead of time, wait until you are ready to serve to add the Corona. Serve with watermelon as a garnish.

Hey, I've got a shiny new bottle of whiskey in my freezer and I can't decide what to make first. Throw a recipe at me.

Ooh! If it's Irish Whiskey, just go for some sprite or ginger ale. My favorite drink. If it's bourbon, go for the Warm and Toasty I just posted. Looks delicious! Hope this helped!
