I want to thank everyone who has purchased from me this year and ever since I started my shop about twelve years ago.
I recently received a comment that my eye patch sets are expensive, so I wanted to give some insight on why they are priced the way they are.
I am a solo artist and I do every step of the process to make these patches. I spend a lot of time prepping materials, getting the frames ready, maintaining the machines, and hand cutting the patches. It takes about 2 hours for me to make a single twelve set. There is also the cost of the materials, packaging, and machine maintenance. I put a lot of time and effort into these so that every set comes out as high quality as possible. These patches are not mass produced and have been created entirely by me. Material costs keep going up but I do my best to maintain a low price.
I wish I could sell them for cheaper and if you go directly to my shop they are a bit cheaper than Etsy. Etsy does take a significant portion of my revenue from them. It breaks down to $3 a patch on Etsy and even less than that on my shop, which is a good deal for hand made high quality patches.
