2021 has brought in a new era of safety at BottleRock 2021 Music Festival. I remember the first year it came to Napa I lived near the Napa Fair Grounds and as a keeping the peace move they gave us free tickets to the concert. That was only the first year and unfortunately they organizers could not make it work so another group took over and it is what you see now. So many people now know that Napa has great music but may not know that we have some of the best wine in the world. The name of the festival is called BottleRock which very obviously mimics the film from 2008 Bottle Shock. You may not know that that movie was based on the Book called “Judgement of Paris” a true story documented by George M. Taber who was present at the 1976 wine competition where the French participated in a blind taste test and declared American wines as the winners. Stags Leap Wine Cellars and Chateau Montelena won for best Chardonnay and Cabernet. This competition turned the wine world upside down since France has lead the world in award winning wine. Mr. Taber went on to write and article for Time Magazine and history was made. Napa wine quickly started growing and changing to what we see in the valley presently. So as you are enjoying your wine and music remember you are in a world renown wine country that has stood up to an impossible opponent in the wine world and won.
