Thanks to Cathy N. for posting this on my FB. Only thing, Ms. Author, is that while I was growing up, my last name was Elson.

Newspaper Article on Facebook Page!
Neat article from Highland Park Landmark about me and my book, Drinking from the Trough was posted by my friend, Cathy Nachman on my Mary Elson Carlson FB page.
Ivy is fresh and clean after her âfluff and buffâ today.
Before you go see âThe Art of Racing in the Rain,â read the book first. I read it a long time ago, and think the movie wonât do it justice. Marvelous book.
Self defense? Np prob.
If youâve seen Crazy Rich Asians, read the book. Hilarious!
RIP Dr. James T. Ingram, WWII vet, Purple Heart recipient, veterinarian, and best damn equine neurologist anywhere. How appropriate the good doctor passed on Memorial Day.Â

Part of my press kit. Enjoy the read!
Happy Pesach and Easter to all. Do you know that many Christians do not know that the Last Supper was a  Passover Seder? The reason the times are different is that Judaism uses a perfect lunar calendar so that every few years an extra month has to be added, Adar II. The calendar we use is more suited for Easter. Muslims have Ramadan at totally different times of the year. They canât eat from sunup to sundown. Best to have it in winter. One of my students in middle school, Mohammed, dropped from a B to a D. I asked him if it was difficult to do school work without any food or water. When he said yes, I came up with a special program for him.
Cyndi and John from NM are in town and coming to visit me and Ivy. They have Ivyâs sister, Cali, and are just as sloppy in love with her as I am to Ivy.
My nose now looks like a little sunburn. Healing just fine. Plan to ride after the weekend. Ivy at the spa. The owner even called April to see how she does Ivy. I think Ivy really likes being a traveling dog. Up to Scottsdale Friday to stop at bookstores and stay with cousins for the holiday weekend.
Mary and Ivyâs excellent adventure.
Interesting species of palm tree. Comes with its own cell phone tower! @marycarlsonÂ
