A Thorn In Your Day // Serena and Sycamore
Serena heard the man talk about how grate his work was and she knew he was right and couldn’t help but smile. She took a big gulp of the coffee and watched him make a call on his transmitter to prepare his lab for there arrival. She hadn’t noticed that the raven haired male reached out and ruffled her hair. “Professor.” She slightly wined and started fixing her hair with a small giggle.
That man sure knew how to make her feel better when she was down. Standing up she placed the cup on the table and made her way to the door. “I’ll go get Ami then we can make are way down to your lab.” She smiled at him before making her way down the hall to her room, there she proceeded to trap her hat, slip on some flats, grab her bag, and grab Aim’s pokeball. “Alright Ami were gonna get you all better.” She smiled before hugging him and placing a kiss on his forehead. Opening the pokeball she watched as a light came out and swooped her pokemon in to the little ball.
Making her way back to the kitchen she poked her head in. “Come on We don’t have time to lose.” Serena finally felt calm and confident for her friend and knew she wasn’t going to cry again. As the male stood and gathered his things she grabbed there coffees and waited for him to be ready. “Ready?” She asked when she saw him with all his stuff. The two made there way out of her home and boutique and down the path to where the lab was.
A pair of pale blue eyes looked up to tall man beside her as she smiled. She lightly nudged his arm with her elbow as she held out his coffee to him. “Here we shouldn’t let good coffee go to wast.” She handed him the cup before using her free hand to hold the pokeball that was in her bag. ‘Ami I promise never to let you ever get this sick again.’ She promised to herself and the lab came in to sight.
Sycamore let a small chuckle escape his lips at seeing the girl frantically fix her hair. Women really did love their hair, and it always had to be perfect. And for someone like Sycamore, he just got up and gave a quick brush and it was set. But after hours of grueling work in the lab, his raven locks would be tousled and mangled. He waited down in the kitchen as the young female grabbed her belongings and put Ami into his pokeball. Leaning against the counter, he took a small sip of his coffee. It was cold now, but he didn’t mind. In the lab, he would tend to get so absorbed into his work (or even fall asleep) that the professor was used to cold, black coffee.
Hearing Serena’s voice, the man perked his head up. “Ah. Yes. Let’s get going.“ He replied before grabbing his belongings and joining the girl at her side. “Ready.“ Another small chuckle came out, gently taking the coffee cup from the young girl’s dainty hands. “Merci Serena.”
Professor Sycamore lead Serena out from her home to the outdoors, which was starting to warm up due to Spring coming around the corner. It was still chilly enough that a jacket was needed, but a huge improvement to the below freezing temperatures that their winters could bring. Most of all, Sycamore could not wait for the summer to come around, since that is when the weather in the Kalos region would be the best. He turned to the young blond, giving her a soft smile.
“I know that a nice walk would be favorable if we were not in such a rush to help Ami. How about we take a faster route to the Pokemon lab for today.” He said, giving her a small smile. Sycamore didn’t have a flying type in his party, seeing as he never kept many Pokemon long enough to really have a team of his own.
