Genderbending doesnt make you transphobic =_= i mean, dont some trans people "perpetuate the gender-role stereotype" by assigning genders to clothing and looks? (Different Anon than last one) despite not being intentionally malicious, using “genderbends” can still be hurtful. As a trans guy myself I’ve seen the word “cisswaps” used a bit instead and that one makes me more comfortable tbh. Cuz it’s upfront about the fact it’s not based on gender rather it’s based on stereotypical gender roles and sex (which is still uncomfy but it can be used in a good way if it’s worked right)

But other people find issue with the concept due to the previously stated reasons, but some have issue with how fetish like it can be as well, due to how charas behaviour usally alters as well, making them wear revealing clothing or act horny so the person/peoples can get off to said chara w/o feeling gay or w/e 2

Gender bends are trans phobic bc they renforce the concept of binary gender (CIS men become CIS woman and vise versa// rarely nb genders are used) as well as the idea that you need to have certian traits, be it longer/shorter hair, makeup/eyelashes or lack of, boobs, facial hair, a new body type (weight and/or muscle loss or gain, wider or narrower hips, etc). Some people are okay with it as long as the bend looks bassicly the same as their og design, or if it's a trans hc (which isn't a bend) 1
