My sweater finally has arm holes as of last night! I am relieved to report the fit is perfect.

On to the next one! I finished the first one and cast the second on last night, haven't even joined it the round.

My sweater is getting there! I read that I should be trying it on and blocking as I go because when they say "go until yoke is 11 inches" they mean 11 inches blocked. Which I probably should have intuited but I'm glad I read it early enough that I won't have to frog. So that's on ice until I get some barber cord. It's better this way anyways- I do want it to be oversized, but my gauge swatch was a hair on the big side and I know it adds up. Trying it on early and often will hopefully keep things in line, or let me know to start over sooner than later if it's too wide now that I've finished the increases.

Two WIPs this week! A polyester sweater and some wool/nylon blend socks.

The sweater will be using the Southwood pattern by Galt House of Yarn. I plan to do the sleeves in gray and the body in purple. I debated doing the ribbing in gray as well, but I don't know if I have enough and yarn chicken is a losing game.

The socks are my first socks! It's the Sock-A-Block pattern from Yarnspirations, but I'm opting for variegated yarn instead of doing colorwork for simplicity's sake. I'm at the heel and I've been too tired to start it, since I'll have to pay attention.

I finished my BJD sweater! I'm so happy with it! Not only does it fit, the little bit of stretch allows it to fit most SD body types. 10/10 will knit again in other colors at some point.

It's been a while, but I'm back for WIP Wednesday. I've been working on a doll sweater in string yarn and it's extremely cute so far.

I've only got the spoons to do maybe 1 per week, so for this week's I did penicillin. I didn't even know it was a mold/fungus before this. So here is my little penicillin nurse character.

Doing more traditional art since it just feels nice! I used fineliners and alcohol markers.

Hue + Me Mondrian Pullover

I'm still working on my pullover by Two of Wands. I'm almost to the neck shaping on it, thankfully. I'm usually into busy patterns so stockinette for a week has been a test of my patience. I had some tension issues on my purl rows but switching to metal needles helped. Hopefully blocking takes care of the rest. If not, it's the back, so nbd.

Here's the mockup, since I forgot it last time! I pulled the image from their pattern and colored it in with swatched colors.

Temperature Blanket

I'm finally dipping into crochet beyond provisional cast ons. I have dreams of OC amigurumi, but I'm starting with the Linen Pixel Temperature Blanket by TL Yarn Crafts, who makes me want to crochet in the first place. I modified it to be 12x8 stitch squares instead of 22x18 because I only want a couch or chair throw.

This yarn hates being photographed. Maybe because it's shiny? I'll try to grab something more true to color next week. For now, it's time to get the house cleaned so I can be a burrito for a week while it's cold and/or the power is out. Wish me luck!
