Ringing, ringing, ringing… Nat tapped her nails on the counter as she awaited Jared to answer his phone, and when he finally did —- she didn’t get the greeting she thought she would. “Well, that’s rude, don’t you think?” Alright, so he was her go to guy when it came to the trouble she got in, but not this time.

Hearing Natasha’s voice, Jared had to check the caller I.D  on his cell to make sure she wasn’t at the store somehow. “Whoops, thought you were Stacey.” Considering who it was, the man felt bad for not checking who was calling before answering the way he did. “What’s going on, Nat Attack?”

It’s good to see the place never really changes much.

Needing some necessary relaxing time, Jared found himself laying out behind his house. The past few months had been nothing but hectic with sex conventions as well as working in his shop--he was lucky enough to be away from the place for a day if he was being honest with himself. And just like that, his luck had run out. Phone ringing, Jared couldn’t help the roll of his eyes as he fished it out of the grass next to his chair. “Yeah, whats wrong now?”

Moving to stand, Jared allowed Nat to pull him along, He couldn’t help the small chuckle that left his lips as they stepped toward the closet. “Think they have a light in there so we can see?” 

“I don’t think we need a light,” Natasha played, twisting the doorknob with her free hand. As she lead him into the dark little room, she closed the door for the minimum amount of privacy they’d get at the crowded party – and from there wasted no time to tip toe up and hit him with a sensual kiss.

Jared chuckled in response to her playful banter, unable to resist following her into the the tight closet. Feeling her lips against his, the male wrapped his arms around Nat’s waist–effectively keeping her against him. A low groan emerged from his throat as he deepened the kiss, his back leaning back against the shelving next to the wall.

A devious smirk pulled at her features as she brought her hand up, wrapping it around his arm to tug him along. “Oh, I’m sure.“ The blonde passed him a teasing wink, beginning to step backwards toward the closet.

Moving to stand, Jared allowed Nat to pull him along, He couldn’t help the small chuckle that left his lips as they stepped toward the closet. “Think they have a light in there so we can see?”

Katelyn knew the question was coming but had no good explanation. Not one that anyone would understand anyway. “Making the worst mistake of my death.” She continued to speak quietly and couldn’t force herself to look up at his face. “I let my own head get the best of me and I went into hiding…leaving my son and you.”  She let it all out in one breath and the air was gone from her lungs.

Jared looked at her, unsure of what to say. He felt like it was mostly his fault after the way he reacted about someone else kissing her, but he wasn't able to stop the surge of jealousy that still ate at him. Shaking his head, he looked away from her for a moment, trying to get his thoughts collected. "Did you get it figured out then? Your head?"

Suddenly pausing his destruction as a familiar voice came into play, a small smile began to creep onto Leo’s face before his eyes shifted over to the side. Slowly turning to face the male with a single spoon in his hand, a mischievous look came about the tyke as Jared came into view — though his grin faltered slightly as he looked up at the adult, awaiting some type of lecture for his misbehavior.

Eyebrows rising as he looked down at the young boy, Jared had to stifle a small chuckle. Leo was almost the picture of his son whenever he knew he was caught doing something bad. “Please don’t stop just because I’m here now,” Jared said, smiling down at him. “If you ask me, these kids deserve something they’ll need to clean up later.”

Stepping into the Murder House, Jared sighed as he looked around the front lobby. He wasn’t really sure what he was doing in the house, but it felt like the place was calling him. Pursing his lips, he was about to just leave when something moved out of the corner of his eye. “Hello?”

Katelyn was still lurking about the home, trying to find her place again. It felt like she had been gone for years when it had only been about a month. Katie had watched Jared come into the home and had felt like running into his arms but stopped herself. Shifting her position, he had spotted the movement. Hearing him speak had given her the courage to show herself. “Hi.” Her voice was soft and scared as she looked up at him sadly.

When Katelyn came into view, Jared's mouth fell open softly. His expression shifted quickly from confused to sad. Unsure of what to say or even do, his hands stuffed themselves in the back pocket of his jeans. "Where have you been?" He asked, mostly just to get rid of the question right out of the gate.

“I think I lost my keys,” Nat lied, approaching Jared from the side. Setting her hand on his arm, she hooked her grip on him lightly. “Can you help me look for them…? In the closet?” She barely attempted to hide the grin that pulled at her features as she looked up at him.

Jared smiled as Nat approached, his eyebrows perking at her comment. Laughing, he leaned back against the wall he had been standing against and crossed his arms. "If you're for sure you lost it in there, I think we might have to at least check there," he responded, going along with her little lie.

Uh..yeah, sure. *Taking the bottle, he twisted the lid open.* What do you need to take these for?

Anxiety. I know it’s not the best option — but I don’t have too many to choose from, and it works the best.

Jared nodded, instantly handing them back to her. He knew he shouldn't have even touched the bottle, but he couldn't see telling the woman no. "Sorry to hear that. I didn't mean to pry...just didn't know a person in the house who took pills," he said, giving her a sympathetic smile. "I'm Jared."

So I heard there’s going to be a party some time soon. Do you wanna come with me?

“Oh!” McKenzie breathed, startled as she stepped back from the door, looking up at the man. “Sorry, I didn’t know anyone was coming through.”

Jared blinked, almost thinking it was Katelyn answering his call. No, she’s not the same height, he thought to himself--a small sense of sadness drifting into him, but he smiled good naturedly. “I’m sorry, I didn’t check to see if anyone was coming out.”

Stepping up the front porch steps, Jared looked wary as he opened the front door. "Katelyn?" He called, softly.

Bringing her hands together in her lap, Nat let her head rest against the beam of the porch as she looked to him. “You can tell me,” the blonde said with a genuine kindness in her voice. “I mean… you can talk to me, if you want to.”

His eyes moved to hers, giving her a knowing look. “Yeah...I know,” Jared replied. Bringing his free hand up to scratch the back of his head, he shrugged his shoulders. “I really just don’t know how to...be in a relationship I guess. I feel like I”m either too jealous or not committed at all.”
