First Dates
Oh, boy.
There had been something in Kingman’s face or eyes or something that even in a still photograph had catapulted him far ahead of the competition. It was that something that caught Markos’ breath now as he watched the young doctor make his way toward them and finally give him that first tentative smile. There was such a purity - a grace - to him that’d been so fucking irresistible to take that night and it was still there now taunting him with every shy look given his way. Markos knew he’d made no friends with that nasty nurse so he was careful to lay the sweet on now, offering his arm, a beaming smile, and eyes directed only to him.
“We take walk, first? Build appetite?” he suggested as he led the way out of that stupid hospital and back out onto streets were he felt immediately much more in control and confident. “You not in scrubs, so you mine for afternoon?”
If his eyes weren’t deceiving him, a large weight seemed to fall off the small doctor’s shoulders once they were out on the streets and some small part of him wanted to keep him far away from that wretched place.
“I’m off today. I just had some um, some things to take care of this morning. So yeah, I guess - I’m yours for the afternoon, if you want me.” the doe-eyed boy said quietly.
Bringing Harrison’s hand up to kiss, Markos shot what he knew was an award-winning smile down at the other. “Oh, believe me, gorgeous. I definitely want you.”
Something warm grew in his stomach as the other’s cheeks deepened into a dark pink and he had to pat himself on the back. He had picked wonderfully. But now was time to get into character and play the convincing role of inquisitive new fiancée.
“I know we meet not under ideal circumstances. But I am very much excited to get to know you. Will you show me your city?”
It seemed his question offended the other judging by the face he made but he couldn’t keep the amusement off his own face because god, the man was cute.
“No. This isn’t my city. I’m sorry. I can wander hopelessly around with you, but I really only know how to get to the hospital to my apartment and a bar.” Harrison shared.
“Ooo a bar?” Markos teased just to see if the other would blush more.
He did.
“I don’t go often, or anything, but it’s um, it’s nice after a long day or a rough one to just - get out of your own head for a bit. Do you ever do anything like that?”
Ugh. He was going to be the death of Markos. “I like to sail. You sail? You, the wind, the water, and nothing to stop you but ehhh how you say? Whore-e-zens?”
“Horizons, yeah. No. I’m not much of a sailor. Too short.”
Markos let out a big laugh at that, tugging the man closer to drop a kiss on his head. “You so cute! Let’s go find some seafood! Even Americans can’t mess up fresh fish, right?”
The man kept quiet at that, but Markos swore he saw a hint of amusement tugging at his lips and god, his lips. It only took a few blocks to reach the board walk and seizing his moment, he grabbed Harrison’s hand and took off at a run. He didn’t stop until their shoes were kicked off and they were running in the sand before picking up a breathless doc and pinning him against a palm tree. Laughter slowly died on the others face, and this time there was no alcohol haze, no tiredness, or bad lighting to disguise any of this man from him. He was patient and still under Markos’ body and damn, he would make such the perfect husband. Humming to himself, he brought his hands up to cup the man’s face, thumbs gently stroking his cheeks, before flashing a wide smile.
“You are the most gorgeous thing I ever see.” he declared, smile widening as the man’s flush grew. “This is so! I not lie. I very lucky.”
“Shhh.” Harrison’s hands came up to cup his own, but Markos just took that as an invite and bent down to seal their mouths in a way he’d wanted to do since he watched that mouth go near that horrible girl. He was careful to kiss the doctor slowly, sensually, and in a way he was pretty damn sure nobody had ever done before. He’d planned this - the beach, the talk, the kiss - Harrison was the romantic type. He didn’t want lavish gifts or a body count - he wanted moments in the sunset, holding hands while having sex, soft whispers of absolute nonsense, but Markos was willing to play that game for what it was going to get him.
The biggest hospitality business in the world and the most gorgeous husband anyone had ever seen.
Once he hired a personal trainer and a chef, of course.
Apparently doctors didn’t believe in weight training. But that was little matter. Easy fix. Much easier than plastic surgery.
Gently, he broke the kiss, but rested his head on Harrison’s. “I owe you big sorry. I … I was too drunk and too … I very ashamed of how our bodies met last. I promise you - much better from now on. No tequila for me.”
Naive, darling, husband-to-be just gave a light laugh and a trusting smile, tilting back up into another kiss.
How lucky for him. A romantic and affection-starved.
This would go down as the easiest seduction in history.
So Markos indulged him, doing nothing more but trading kisses amongst wolf whistles until he felt Harrison’s stomach grumble against his body. “Uh-oh.” he whispered. “Got to feed hubby-to-be, no?”
The doc shook his head, small hands grabbing out to keep him in place, but Markos just laughed, intercepting the hands and twirling the man away from the tree. “Food, doc. Food.”
“I should probably let you know that I’m a vegetarian.”
“You…what?! No, no, no. I not hear this. Meat is … one of the pleasures in life! Ock. No. No, no, no. You wait till we in my country. I show you real food!”
Harrison rolled his eyes but Markos would not tolerate such foolishness in his kitchen. Not when he expected his meals to be made fresh daily. The boy would learn. For now he’d allow this rabbit food nonsense.
But no wonder he was so small.
He needed meat.
Markos insisted on two bottles of a fine white wine at Harrison’s preference and their best table outside. The boats going by were jokes and half of them he couldn’t believe were in any way seaworthy and boasted of his own tales on the Mediterranean. Harris was a rapt audience, just the way he liked it, eyes constantly on him, rarely injecting with his own stories, and asking questions to hear more.
He couldn’t resist trying to offer pieces of his lobster and steak but the doctor calmly but consistently stood his ground. Surprisingly not a speck of disrespect and he had to hand it to the Kingsman. Whatever they’d done in raising him made him absolutely perfect to be under Markos’ thumb in the future. He made a mental note to send them a thank you basket of wine and cheese.
Harrison made an attempt for the bill which was the only irksome deed of the night besides his ridiculous stance on meat, but he only had to be told no once. Markos was willing to overlook it as a learning curve and collected the boy back on his arm to walk him back through the city after a quick stroll on the beach, so he could further seduce and whisper all the things he planned to do one day on a beach just like this in broad sunlight.
It was such a delight to see him squirm and flush the way he was and an honest struggle to not take him right then and there. But American culture or whatever dictated some silly three date rule, so he just dropped Harrison back off at the hospital (not even his apartment!) on the insistence he needed to check on his invalid twin or something.
Markos refused to set foot in that horrible building again so he tugged Harrison off to the side for a giddy childish necking session against the corner of the building, silencing each of his protests with more passionate kisses. Until he really had to leave before more happened.
His frustrations would just have to be worked out elsewhere tonight.
