#tbt wild hunt. some days i miss painting so much it hurts. it’s not really in the cards for me at the moment – i don’t think i’ve ever found myself uninspired but it’s only in recent years i’ve come to understand just how much it takes out of me energetically and emotionally to paint. i’ve had a quiet life on the outside with few but dear and trusted friends and lots of time to myself. i used to feel … pretty safe. things are different now. i wish i was one of those artists who could process pain through art but i don’t think that’s for me. i need to breathe through it and be in at least sort of a good way in order to let things i see come through and down on to paper. i know these are all luxury problems, but they are my current reality and i wish for you to know why this painter isn’t painting much when really it’s my life’s blood. thanks for sticking around anyway, and i’m working on getting better. my patience is being tried … oh well. much love ❤️
