Calling all fresh Inklings and Octolings!!!

I'm opening cameo background submissions for Splatoon OCs, mainly Inklings and Octolings! They'll be featured in my Splatoon comic, Perspective as background characters. I've done this for Rainmaker, now I'm doing it again now! This will be up for a long time (basically 'til the comic's entirely finished), so no worries on rushing! :)

I look forward to seeing everyone's OCs!

Some applicants have put their social media handle, but not the site, please PLEASE read all the rules carefully and double-check the details! You are allowed to edit your responses and there's still time before I begin my comic. I will not be selecting those who do not follow all the rules!!!

Heyo just an update-- Perspective (@ds-perspective) isn't dead, but I honestly got no excuse lol (being a multifandom artist has its draws haha). XP

I felt there's a huge shift in my art style and I REALLY wanna git gud at Clip Studio Paint since I feel it helps my art go faster AND better (in terms of character art).

So here's a doodle of Octa before I go back to ACTUALLY working on comics! I think what I'll be doing is getting the pages done first for a chapter, then have a schedule set for them. It might take longer, but I think it'll work out better in the end. We shall see!

Please look forward to more of Octa's story!

HOLY COW it's been three months, but I'm back with Perspective! Super sorry this came out so late, work on top of class (and me getting into a new fandom) has been eating my schedule and burning me out on this comic. ;~;

I've also been trying to learn other programs, especially Clip Studio Paint, since it really speeds up my progress a lot. There will be a shift in art style starting the next pages!

Back to the comic, yay Tapi finally makes an appearance and Octa's getting nervous.

July Update

Heyo just a general update for this comic. Hard to believe it's half a year since I started this comic.. and we're ONLY two chapters done out of ten OTL.

I've been getting burnt out a lot, doing freelancing, zines, etc. It's been hampering with my motivation to work on this comic the past month ahaha. ^^;

FEAR NOT THO. I ended up taking a break from comic making since the last update was a LOT of pages for one update, but I'm getting back to my mojo! Just gotta do some backgrounds and clean ups!

As a reminder, I'm doing this comic solely in my free time, but if you'd like to support me, sending a boba tea to my Ko-Fi helps out immensely!

Finally, here's a preview. Tapi's finally making his appearance! ^0^

February Update

Heyo guys, just an update that my work has concluded and I'm on the hunt for a new job. Things haven't been going well financially, so hopefully I can be able to find something sooner or later; the job market's pretty bleak honestly. x_x

Finding a job is my main priority right now. I'll have my c0mmissi0ns up indefinitely 'til things change. I'm still learning how to use Blender and other art programs, so hopefully when I get better at them I can show off some work haha.

Perspective will still continue (all the pages have been planned ahead of time for this!), but it's going to take a while for me to get to them. We're almost done with the first chapter, so hopefully this month I can conclude it and work on the next one.

I just wanna say thank you for being here. Everyone is amazing and awesome in their own ways, and you oughta be proud of that. Last year was the worst year for me, so let's try to make everyone's year better for this one. :)

IT'S FINALLY HERE AFTER SO MANY YEARS...! Ngl, feels weird doing comics, especially an actual series, after so long, but it feels pretty good and fun! :D

There isn't an exact schedule for this comic, so updates are done randomly. I'm working rn, so I don't have as much time and leniency as I used to in the past. If pages are done, I'll most likely target Thursdays/Fridays for uploading days. We'll see!

Regardless, I am excited to show off Perspective and please look forward to Octa's journey! :)
