Inspo So I was bringing back Wii games from my mom's place, and on top of the stack was We Cheer 2. That was one of my favorite games in elementary school! I got inspired and designed the heroes' pom costumes. After that, I thought it would be fun to make a little story and slice of life content about what it's like to attend pom classes at Zelda's dance studio!

I'm going with pom because my AU takes place at a dance studio and let's be honest, We Cheer 2's choreo is pom inspired. The bg NPCs are the only ones doing stunts. I also want to focus more on the stuff that happens at a dance studio instead of typical high school bs. High school AUs are everywhere anyway...

Characters The characters in this AU are Green, Red, Blue, Vio, Zelda, Vaati, and the six maidens! I'll make posts about each of them.

He's definitely the type to wear something loose and comfortable. Why fight the clothes when class is hard enough? His old gaming t-shirt and old gym shorts are perfect!

Blue judges him for the shorts though... How dare he bring up middle school...

The General Story

Zelda tells Green about how her mother's dance studio might have to close down because there aren't enough students attending. They lost most them and the other instructors when she passed. Now its just her and the pom class. She wants to spread the word about her studio and believes that winning some competitions will help, but she doesn't have enough members and she can't be on the team herself since they must have a coach. There are 6 girls attending already, but they need 10 members total to compete. So she asks Green to help her find 4 other members.

Green, being the best friend that he is, thinks that maybe him and his other brothers could give the class a try and become the four missing members she needs. It can't be that hard, right? It's just waving poms around!

He somehow convinces the other three to give the class a try, leaving out the part where they would have to compete. Red is all for it, but Blue and Vio needed persuasion. They would make up their minds after attending the first class.

After going, the four of them decide that the class is a lot of fun and way more challenging than they expected! Zelda is overjoyed to finally have enough members and Green is counting the days until he has to tell the truth.

Everything on this blog basically helps tell this story in relative chronological order, but nothing is completely serious or completely in order! This is more slice of life/light hearted type stuff anyways!

Zelda the coach and Vaati the choreographer! They're both from the FSA Pom Squad AU!

The Story Yeah, how did Zelda convince Vaati of all people to create choreo for her team?

She saw how good of a dancer he was on social media and that he was looking for a space to hold his classes in the evening. Zelda needs the money, and its only her pom team at the studio a few times a week, so why not rent a room out to him? He readily agreed, especially since her class won't get in the way of his.

One day, Vaati arrives to the studio early and sees the pom team practicing their performance. They're all excited since that was first time they performed it really well. They don't notice him leaning on the door frame. He scares them all when he asks if they plan on competing. Zelda explains that they do! She asks for his opinion.

It's terrible. Too basic. Predictable. He can't allow such awful publicity, especially now that his classes are held there. So he's helping them whether they like it or not.

The pom squads' jaws hit the floor. Zelda is pissed, but she can't deny that he's a far better dancer than she is. Stuffing away her anger, she agrees to work with him, much to the team's dismay.

Green somehow convinces the other three to give the class a try (the first one is free anyway). Red is all for it, but Blue and Vio needed convincing. After the first class, they all like it enough to keep attending. It's fun! Green conveniently leaves out the competition part.

This is what I have for now. We'll see what I come up with later! Despite what I said, the boys are in their junior year of high school (still 17), but that has a very minor role in the story.
