This is a practice comic! The writing is simple, utilizes characters I have in other projects and is purely to make me happy. The art style is liable to change on a whim as I warm up to the medium. I have other way more thought out projects in the wings, DStD is here to walk so they can run <3

Because this isn't a super serious project, I'm open to asks directed at the characters (or uh? Me I guess?), n I'll most likely try answer with a doodle BUT be aware that I want the story to speak for itself! Wizards with near god-like power are cool and all, but what about the wizards that are just some guy. What about wizards that are just nerds that don't need matches to light a birthday cake

Being a service-tincan is largely helping with mundane things no one else thinks about lol. I like to imagine the Wizard doesn't have to frequently send nearly as much paperwork to ensure whatever government they have doesn't immediately cancel his disability support tho

I'm gonna aim to make each ask-update roughly a page long! Some asks- like this one- might take up a full page, others might get compiled into one page if the answers are little. Ultimately tho, the goal of these is to pad out the run time between comics so like. If I stretch them, then I stretch them lol. I'm afraid I don't really understand? The dragon said it couldn't bring rain to the kingdom without making it storm like crazy, so how is the solution moving there? Maybe it's just my bad reading comprehension lol

They didn't move to the kingdom! They moved to a hill with a view of it- and more importantly- a dry riverbed that can fill and flow towards it c: (Page 78)

The castle might not look distant enough to people that aren't familiar with extremely localized rainfall, but can confirm that as someone living on a Long Thin, Mountainous Island In The Middle Of The Ocean- it's perfectly possible for a raincloud to go "screw you in particular" and pour down on my school while my house (within walking distance) stays almost completely dry. I'd imagine localized rainfall would be pretty common in Magic Land, because instead of landmass and air currents, you just need Rainfall Georg to stand around lmao

FIRSTLY: My next comic! After a brief break to get everything (reference sheets, buffer etc etc) in order, my next comic- Foxbird- will go live! It's core themes are similar to DStD, and it technically shares a character who you may or may not recognize when you see them, though there's no connection between the world of DStD and Foxbird lmao. Here's the logline- In a world of dragons and flying ships, a young elf joins a pirate crew in a last-ditch effort to escape the life laid out for them And a link to the teaser + the comic blog, if you want to follow super early! SECONDLY: Character QnA! I'm doing a DStD character QnA! Format your questions "To: (character)" and toss them in an ask! As a treat, and to pad out the public inter-project time a bit c: As always, I want the text to speak for itself so some things just aren't meant to get answers, but because DStD is my least serious project, there's a bunch I don't mind lol
