Matsumoto's mom was the traffic lady when they were in grade school. As he have mentioned so many times, she would use her saliva to clean his face if she catched him walking to school without washing his face. Apparently she did that to Hamada too. She would use her saliva to clean his face, comb his, and I quote "quite long, frizzy hair" before sending him off with a "NOW GO!!".

Back when Hamada was in that hellish high school of his, he ran away from school and took the train back to Osaka. Once he reached Osaka Station he ran out of money and can’t go anywhere. So he called Matsumoto and asked him to come to the station.

Matsumoto came and have some money with him. They then went to eat at this Soba place and,

Matsumoto: He was seriously eating them soba like he have never eat before.

They then went back to Matsumoto’s place.

Host: (to Hamada) so what is that person (point to Matsumoto) good points?

Hamada: Well, he’s handsome.

Matsumoto: Well, I am kinda handsome. I took after my father.

Anddddddd.... Hamada failed to show up to their regular show once and Matsumoto found out that he went somewhere with a chick. Hamada has been away for almost a week.

Matsumoto was so shocked.

Matsumoto: But to say “sorry” to your partner is disgusting!

Hamada: There’s no such thing!

Matsumoto: Of course I feel it in my heart, but...

Awww Hamada told a story where he was bullied because Matsumoto didn’t show up to a showwwww. He was bullied by his sempaissssss.

Apparently he was taped (like masking tape taped) and was rolled around the place by them. The whole time he was thinking “why isn’t matsumoto coming?”

Host: So did he say sorry for not coming that day?

Hamada: He didn’t! People normally would say “sorry”, right? This man right here, until now, haven’t said it once! We’ve been a combi for 10 years! NOT EVEN ONCE! He just laughed at it. And then he got counter angry (gyakugire). It’s his own fault and he got angry!

Host: So with all these bad things that you hate, what are the good things with Hamada?

(He took about a minute).

Matsumoto: I have never think about the good things...

(Thinks somemore).

Matsumoto: I’m sorry, but there’s none.

Matsumoto was telling how Hamada greeted people differently based on their uhh.. ranks. Like with the big fish he always went “OHAIYO GOZAIMASU!!!!!” and with others he normally just greeted them with a simple and unenthusiastic “oh”.

Matsumoto: When I’m sleeping in the dressing room, I could tell who walked in based on Hamada’s greeting. I hate this part of him.

Matsumoto : I’ll commit suicide before you die.

Hamada : Why the hell?

Matsumoto : It’s impossible to imagine my life without you.

Hamada(2015) : I want to die before he(Matsumoto) died.

Sakagami : Why?

Hamada : Um.. I don’t know. I don’t like that.

Hamada: Downtown has got this far because of this guy (pointing to Matsumoto) talent, so I respect (him for that).

Lady: That’s lovely!

Hamada: It’s just, back then, (I got) annoyed and (he) pissed me off. Those kind of things happened a lot.

Lady: Eh, like, Matsumoto-san directed movies and what not. That, if it were me, and that’s my partner, I would hate it a little.

Hamada: No, no. Definitely not. Because that’s not something I can do.

Matsumoto: What do I think of Hamada?

Matsumoto: Ummm.. Ummm… (He’s) someone that only has what I don’t.

Lady: What you don’t have?

Matsumoto: What is it? Like “seriously going for something” character, or taking care of the guests, he only has what I don’t have.

Lady: So those good parts of Hamada-san, you respect him (for it)?

Matsumoto: There’s no respect here!

Hamada: Hahahaha (he was quietly smoking and being a nervous wreck when Matsumoto was talking).

Lady: EH?

Matsumoto: I don’t even respect him as a human.

Hamada: Don’t say things like thattttttt~~ (while rubbing Matsumoto’s head). AHHAHAHAHA

Hamada: Well, being a combi, there are waves (of things).

Matsumoto: Yes yes.

Hamada: There are times when we get along, times when just looking at (each other) faces makes you want to hit it. That’s the waves.

Matsumoto: The peak was during the second year (of being together). That was so annoying! (I was) always looking for reasons to (have fist) fight.

Hamada: I was looking for them (reasons) too!

Matsumoto: There’s only this one time, we have actually had a (fist) fight.

Hamada: On New Year, at Umeda Hall while waiting for our turn, we were totally going at it, (shouting and shoving each other) “ WTF???” and then someone came and said “it’s your turn” and we went out there and (act all crazy normal).

Host: Did everything go okay?

Hamada: Yea, we did everything properly. Even the skit.

Hamada: Go die!

Matsumoto: If I actually die, the person that will be the saddest is YOU! You will be screaming and wailing at my wake!

Hamada: HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAA

In one episode of Hey!x3 with Aiko, she mentioned that she’s from osaka and one of her friends have dated Matsumoto. This friend was invited back to Matsumoto’s place and was offered a drink and she refused to drink it because she was afraid of what Matsumoto would do to her. lol.

Aiko’s friend to Aiko, “it seems like we are together now” when talking about Matsumoto and her. 

All the while in the background, Hamada was going “nooooo!” “ewwww!!” “KYAHAHAHAHAHA!!”
